I am currently in the process of applying to APU's ELM Nursing program for the the Fall of 2019. Applications are not due until October 1st, however I feel like this forum might help as a sort of support group for one another as we reach towards our goal as future NPs!

Hi All!

I applied to the ELM Nursing Fall 2019. I have my interview scheduled for Friday. I already read that the interview is very lax but I am still very nervous. To those who already had an interview--did any questions stand out to you and do you feel like there were certain responses that stood out to the interviewer over another?

I greatly appreciate your response and I'm really glad to hear how your interview went! It makes a lot more sense to me and it gives me a more hopefully feeling that perhaps I have hope.

How do you like your experience so far at APU? Are there any expenses that you were surprised about? One of my friends got accepted to another schools ELM MSN program and he had a lot of unexpected expenses that he was surprised about.

I like the program and my cohort, the teachers are great also. As far as expenses go once you are accepted they email out a sheet of anticipated costs that includes a lot if not all of you're expenses for the first semester. It is expensive but any nursing school is, so it was expected. :D

Notices for main campus probably won't go out till December, I am pretty sure they are still interviewing. They typically have the highest number of applicants of all the campuses. Last I heard they were at about 500 for main campus

Yay! Yes they asked me for specific scenarios of when I faced a conflict and how I handled it so come prepared for interview q's like that. You'll be great.

Hi mmm6199! I am curious if you can ask for an updated timeline for decisions during your interview? It would be MUCH appreciated! (Especially as it is now "near" December)!

When i went to my interview they told me the same thing that it'll be the end of January or beginning of february lol;
