Hello,
This is a forum for those who applied to APU ELM Summer 2021 program! I applied to the main campus.
I had my interview couple of days ago. I have to say I didn’t get a good feel. I honestly felt like I was rushed throughout and I felt like my interviewer didn’t really want to engage or get to know me. It was really fast. Usually, they read your essay statement and your letters prior, but I felt like it wasn’t the case here. Tbh I think they already decided on their candidates and are just interviewing the rest left. Don’t think I’m going to make the cut based on that interview. Not sure if anybody else had similar experience. Maybe it’s just me.

I definitely felt the same way when I did mine! Mine was in person back in march and I literally sat in my car in the parking lot and cried for a good 15 minutes. My interview probably lasted 20 minutes, if that. But don't give up!

I applied to the IE campus and received my invitation to interview on July 20. I interviewed on July 24 and received some additional follow-up interview questions via email on August 4.
I wish you all the best of luck...fingers crossed! ?
Hello! I has the same exact experience. ? I'm not so confident though still hoping for the best!

Unfortunately, I had a similar experience! I had my interview about a month ago and it did not go as planned...at all! I was so excited/ nervous prior to the interview and prepared myself for about a week+ LOL I was supposed to do the interview via Google hangout but my interviewer had some technical issues and was unable to connect with me via hangout so instead the interviewer called me. I felt as if the interview was rushed and not conversational. I believe the interviewer was a little stressed because of the technical issues that occurred with my interview and also with others before me....My interview LITERALLY lasted only 12mins -_- Which is the reason why I am not confident about getting into the program but I’m still going to remain hopeful and pray that I get accepted. Good luck to you & I hope that we will get into the program even though we did not have the best interview experience.

I think my interviewer said that the admissions committee is planning to meet in early September and that I should expect a decision by mid-September.
When I had my interview for the IE campus, my interviewer told me that all campus admission teams sit together and make decisions all at once together. She said this should happen late August and we hear back the first week of September. She said that she’s hoping it’s sooner than later.
I was accepted in the 2+2 program starting this month and things are really messy. We don’t have a schedule yet and classes are in 2 weeks. We also do not get clinical first semester. With that, I am PRAYING that I get accepted into the ELM program so I can drop from this one because this program just doesn’t seem worth it.?

Oh no, I'm so sorry to hear that!
Thank you so much for sharing. I hope we all hear back soon...the anticipation is killing me ? best of luck to everyone!
Hey everyone,
I applied to the ELM Summer 2021 term in San Diego. I had my interview earlier in the first week of August. The anticipation is killing me, I want it to be the end of August. I was wondering if there is a fb group for the 2021 term for those applying to the San Diego cohort.

I'm so sorry your experience wasn't as pleasant. Although my interviewer was very pleasant and warm, I'm still not confident like the others. I'm praying we all make it so we can start making a difference in people's lives. We'll soon find out! Hang-in there! ?
