Hi All!
I am applying this year to Azusa Pacific University (Inland Empire Regional Center) this fall to start Fall of 2016. I was surprised that I couldn't find a thread for Fall 2016 Applicants so I decided start one for us. Here we can discuss/ask about our application or interview process or anything else relevant to this.:)
Hope to hear from you all soon.
Also, Does anybody know how much the overall program is? just curious.
I am also curious about this. According to their website it would be 677 a unit and the bsn portion is 70 units...but I can't find any info on the "actual cost" because there are always extra costs that should be taken into consideration. If anyone else has any insight, I would also appreciate it!
Hi all,
So sorry for the late reply to everyone wanting to know how the program is going. It has been super busy as I am sure you can imagine! We are almost done with the first semester and boy do I want to sleep for a week! This is not meant to scare anyone, in fact it is the exact opposite. The work load is very bearable and for the most part all assignments are just time consuming rather than brain busting. So if you get anything from this comment it is that 1st semester is time consuming but not overly hard. The most tiring part of this semester is when you get to the 12 hour hospital shifts. The care plans are crazy long and take a lot of time so my advice is to get those done as soon as possible after the clinical. You do not have to read everything assigned. I am sure you all can read a textbook by now since you have a degree already but I just want you to know skimming textbooks (EXCEPT Patho) is a great start... and finish. Patho is knowledge intensive so know your anatomy and biology. I am not sure if there is much more I can give you but please feel free to ask away and I will try my best to respond in a timely manner. Also, go on vacation while you can! some of you only have about 2 months till you start... make sure you sleep in and do fun stuff before the start date. One more thing, all exams are on this software thing and you cannot hit the back button, this worried me at first but it is all good now. Just want you to be aware that your answer cannot change after you hit next so take your time. That was a lot of info, let me know if you need more :-)

Hi Alexischerney! Congrats on the interview! You will get a video link soon that will give you more info about the program, so make sure you watch and come prepared with questions, I think it shows you're interested. Also be prepared to talk about your grades, classes and your academic career in general! The writing sample is super manageable, I think they just want to make sure you can write well. A paragraph or two should suffice. But over all just be confident and prepared and you will do great!
