APU BSN Summer 2021

Hey everyone,

I have just submitted my application for the Summer BSN program at APU. Has anyone else submitted their application or would anyone else like to share their stats?

 

Science GPA: 3.16

Overall: 3.66

LOL from reading previous threads about 30 students are accepted and there’s 5 accpeted as alternates. An alternate is when a person is accpeted, but only starts the term they applied for if someone drops out. If no one drops out, they start that following term. I asked my coordinator how many people applied and she said that information isn’t given out sadly ?

All of the professional undergraduate cohorts are made up of 20 students. From what I remember when I asked before applying, they have a few hundred applicants every semester.

Hello,

I applied for LVN-BSN for the Summer 2021. Once I submitted my application in January, I got an email stating that my application was complete and qualify for an admission review. Deadline was Feb 1st and on the 9th I received another email stating that my application was sent to the School of Nursing for review. Did anyone else get these emails? My GPA is not as high as everyone else’s, but I hope my essay will dO wonders.

It’s just official notice that your application was accepted and will be considered for review. They send it out to all applicants who completed the application before the deadline. I received the email after applying both times and it had no impact since I was denied the first time and then accepted the second time. Fingers crossed for both of you!

Tysm for the feedback. Question, I was on the Deans List for three semesters at my previous college, do you think they will consider that or even care about it?

I’m honestly not sure since I’ve heard so many different things about what they consider while reviewing applications; but what I can say is that I’m sure it doesn’t hurt!

Do these cohort sizes reflect LVNs only or also 2+2 BSN? Thanks!

2+2 as well; 20 students

I believe it’s 30. A past 2+2 BSN thread for Azusa were discussing about creating a facebook page for their cohort and they linked it in their thread. I clicked on it and there were 28 people in there. I’m assuming 2 people either dropped out or 2 people just didn’t join that cohort facebook group. I've also seen multiple people from other threads state that there's 30 people accepted.

You’re right I misspoke! Thanks for clarifying! I asked my classmates and we were all under the impression it was 20. I just checked the 2+2 class size on the class search page we use for enrollment and it’s 30. ?

Oh thank god LOL I was second guessing myself and I was thinking “oh crap what if they changed it?”. Thank you for confirming! ?
