Hey everyone,

I have just submitted my application for the Summer BSN program at APU. Has anyone else submitted their application or would anyone else like to share their stats?

Science GPA: 3.16

Overall: 3.66

Hi Ashley! I too made a thread for APU’s BSN Summer 2021. Your stats are good! My stats are an overall GPA of 3.7 with a science GPA of 3.64. I have a year and a half experience as a CNA in a hospital and some experience in a post acute. I’m hoping it’s enough to get accpected. I started my app June 2020 and submitted my app the 5th of this month  but still waiting for my one professor to submit her letter of recommendation. I had a friend saying to me that the earlier you start/ submit your app the better chances it is to get in! Not sure if that’s true or not but I thought I’d do everything early just in case. Good luck to you and hopefully we can keep touch throughout this process!! Also for reference, I had 2 friends get accpeted. My one friend had an overall of 3.3 and science GPA of 4.0, the other friend had an overall of 3.6 and science GPA of 3.7!

Yes of course! My email is [email protected] so we can keep in touch ?. I submitted my app on the 11th.

Awesome! Hopefully others will reply on here so we can see where everyones at within the process. I was reading some previous threads of APU Summer BSN applicants and some people found out if they got accepted the beginning of march, some even around late February. I'll be praying for us both

Oh wow! Did they do the interview first and then hear back about official acceptance? I assumed I would hear back Feb/March to see if I got an interview and then I thought they made decisions after the interview. I hope we get in! What location did you choose? I chose inland empire.

From that thread, they didn't have interviews. I believe they stopped doing interviews sometime around 2018/2019? I read somewhere that it was due to bias! For the location I choose High Desert. I wanted to do IE but was scared since it would be a bigger competition due to the amount of people living in IE. I figured my best shot would be the one in High Desert! Even if we don't get accepted, I hope we can be accepted as an alternate!

Oh my gosh! I didn’t know that. I have a friend who went to APU and she did an interview in 2019 I believe. I always thought there were still interviews. That’s good to know, thanks for sharing that information. You are right about having better chances in the high desert. But I think we still will have a good chance as an alternate too ?

I just double checked and the thread and one student on the thread said that the program rep reached out to her June of 2019 and said they stopped interviews! Kinda glad that they did that LOL interviews sound nerve-racking. I think we do as well. I'll let you know if I hear anything back from my program rep or anyone else regarding my application ?

Hii! I actually plan to apply to their bridge program in the future! What month during the Summer do the classes start and how long are they?

Ohh I see! My ADN program finishes Spring in June, would that mean that I would have to attend both at the same time?

If you're already in an ADN program the program you're looking for for Azusa would be the RN-BSN not the BSN 2+2 program. You should definitely email a counselor at Azusa regarding that program! Best of luck to you ?
