APU BSN Summer 2021

Hey everyone,

I have just submitted my application for the Summer BSN program at APU. Has anyone else submitted their application or would anyone else like to share their stats?

 

Science GPA: 3.16

Overall: 3.66

If you're already in an ADN program the program you're looking for for Azusa would be the RN-BSN not the BSN 2+2 program. You should definitely email a counselor at Azusa regarding that program! Best of luck to you ? 

Ohhh okay thank you for letting me know! What is the BSN 2+2 program?

The 2+2 is for transferring students! So a student would do the 2 year pre requisites needed and then finish off the other 2 years in the nursing program at Azusa Pacific! but in your case since you’re already going to have your associates that’s why you would do the RN to BSN! Hope that helps

     I also applied for Summer 2021, I submitted my application a couple days ago and waiting on updated course eval. FINGERS CROSSED

Oh also, I did learn that the calculation of GPA has been changed now. Instead of it being based on your entire transcript, it's based only on the units being transferred. That's going to help me a lot, hope it helps some of you guys too.

Hello!! Nice to have another person join this thread. That transfer of units did help me a little bit which was great! Good luck to you ? keep us updated!

Hello I am also applying to Azusa BSN 2+2 program for the Summer 2021, I already submitted my application, and I am waiting for one of the recommenders to submit their recommendation, I chose Monrovia, IE, and high desert last, can you guys explain to me about the GPA being calculated by the units being transfered?

There are up to 70 units accepted for transfer for this program. Some people have taken more than 70 units. However, only the 70 that will be transferred will determine your GPA. This works well for some of us who began school millions of years ago before we got serious. Some of those grades are not so great but thankfully won't be counted in the GPA since they are outside the 70 being transferred. Hope this helps ?

Oh Okay! Thank you! is anybody here commuting to the azusa? or moving closer to the school?

I’m going to commute to Azusa. It would be about an hour away from me but I don’t mind. How about you?

Me too I am like 40 mins away without traffic, Prob an hour with.
