APU BSN Summer 2021

Hey everyone,

I have just submitted my application for the Summer BSN program at APU. Has anyone else submitted their application or would anyone else like to share their stats?

 

Science GPA: 3.16

Overall: 3.66

Specializes in LVN Skilled nursing.

Hopefully they let us know if we got in even as an alternate soon  because I am scheduled to start WCU this April but I was really hoping to get into APU since I’ve always wanted to go there and it’s cheaper.

have you received a second email with instructions on orientation etc.. ?

Have you bought your books?

I got into Monrovia.

Nah, the email said orientation is tentatively April 26th 9a-12p, so we will likely get more concrete details closer to that time.

Same with courses and books. We can't really go forth with that without course schedules. I have heard it is possible we won't receive those until orientation. Try not to worry too much, the classes we enroll in are specifically for our cohort. So there will be spots for us. As a person who came from PCC I def relate to anxiety about it tho, I keep getting scared the classes will close and get full LOL. I feel so anxious!!

Checking in again on those waiting. Any updates? Anyone get a call that they’re an alternate? Had your portal changed to anything other than 100%? Or anyone receive a rejection email?

Update for those still waiting. I reached out to my program representative and she informed me that the department of nursing is still making decisions. Hopefully we hear something soon!

Hey everyone, 

People who have been accepted thus far are being given until the 12th to pay a cohort deposit. If they don’t pay by that deadline, they forfeit their seat. So I am going to assume the school is waiting until the 12th to see if they are issuing more acceptances/ what the alternate list is going to look like. I’m so sorry the waiting game sucks ?

Thank you for this update! I definitely don’t like waiting but if it means I get a seat I’ll take it!

I didn't receive any news by the day, cumulative GPA 3.58, science 3.5, and dashboard shows still 100%.
