Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)

Hello everyone;;
I will be joining your group. Please let me know how I can assist or be of help to you..I just found out last week I failed again for the second time..That puts me around being able to retest Mid april..I hve not set a date or applied again for my ATT. Hoping and praying this is my last time to test, everyone in this group including....
I hope you guys can figure out a way to destress....I'm normally a pretty unflappable guy, but I have to admit when I sat down to the pc and the first 5 questions seemed like they came from another nursing planet, that I started the catecholamine cascade...so I just stopped for a couple of minutes and calmed down....you don't want to be answering questions using your primitive brain....unless they're flight or fight questions, I suppose.
I too, will be taking my boards in April...(the end of) or beginning of May. Can I still come in to your group? This is my 2nd try. I currently am doing Suzanne's plan..in which I need to personal message her and give her my info so that I can move onto the next step. I am so excited and VERY"THANKFUL" that she is willing to help...I understand that she is a very busy person..

Anyways....I found that I needed the most help on pharm, and priority questions but I am willing to go over anything that anyone wants to. I can use all the help that I can get.
I WANT TO PASS THESE BOARDS AND MOVE ON!! As I am sure that is what all of you want too.
I am looking forward to hearing from you and learning something new.
welcome to the group! together we will face this test and pass it! :)
hey all!
I will also be testing sometime in April and I would like to be added to your list. I just unscheduled my last date because it took me forever to do the first part of Suzannes tip. This is going to be my third and hopefully last time testing. I can't stand not having a life because of this dreaded exam. We can all do it!

LOL It took me for ever to do her first tip also... I am almost done... hope it helps when test time comes around! Welcome to the thread!
Hi everyone!
I graduated in June '07 with a BSN. I took the nclex-rn twice and unfortunatly did not pass. I have always had poor studying skills and get easily bored, which I attribute to my inability to pass. I tried kaplan, but didnt get through all the questions and found the class to be of little help. I've been reading about Suzanne's plan and am wondering if any of you find it to be helpful? I'm afraid that the more time goes by, the more content I forget! I'm hoping to take the exam again in april. I'm ready to start my career and become an official "adult" but I need to get this black cloud aka the nclex overwith! Am trying my best not to lose hope and motivate myself to keep trying. If anyone has any advice I'd really appreciate it!
I also get bored easily like you and forget content. I failed twice and currently just finished on Suzanne's plan tip one (waiting on the 2nd tip). It is ALOT of content, so much more than Kaplan. Kaplan was OK for only the strategies but as for content, it's to brief. Last time I took the exam I had all 265q's and there were many questions that Kaplan's blue book did not cover at all. I'm hoping that the Saunders book helps, i mean theres no hurt in trying. The only thing is that now I am also starting to review q's and I constantly need to go back and review the notes I took from Saunders. I hope that if I keep reviewing my notes and do q's my brain will not forget. Suzanne's plan gets so much great feedback so in my opinion its worth a shot. We will be RN's! I have learned that this test is very psychological. We will do it...GL
Hello!
I am finally taking the NCLEX-RN on April 7th (I graduated 12/07).
I have been using the review CDs from Lippincott, Mosby, Saunders, along with Saunders NCLEX-RN review book plus ATI review books/CDs I have from nursing school. ATI also has a bunch of online practice tests that have been helpful.
The areas I am weakest in are OB and psych.
Good luck to all
