April 2008 NCLEX test takers, COME ON IN!

Per the request of janina08 I've started the April NCLEX takers support group. When do you take it? What are you using to study? Would anyone like to review any of the systems/meds that he/she feels weakest on? Let's keep each other in our prayers and good thoughts as we go through one of the biggest experiences of our lives. :)

hi april test takers!!! sorry i've been MIA... been focusing on studying & also been going through the motions of whether or not to test in march or april. is there anyone else testing 4 the nclex - pn besides me? i'll be testing april 26th!! i've been reviewing since beginning of feb, so i hope this gives me enuff time!! so..where are we at on the review of systems? i'm REALLY bad w/ fluid & electrolytes, acid base balance & all that stuff... everything else i'm ok with! (ok... a little shaky on cardio & endocrine too, but not as bad as prev mentioned! lol) neway, i've been reading saunders (& doing the cd ?'s in it) & kinda doing suzanne's 1st tip... though i still go back to the chapters i did well on. i bought the kaplan q bank & strategy book, but like what someone else said here, it also confuses me & gets me so frustrated!! i feel more confident w/ saunders, but i knoe kaplan wouldn't hurt. neways, good luck to all of us!! *CROSSING FINGERS* :redbeathe

mrstip905,hey Im right with you I cant afford the kaplan but I do use saunders also an online refresher(NCSBN) it helps me,Im taking the Pn too but haven scheduled it yet,ben working alot and now my husband started school again(surgical tech)but I wish us all luck!!WE CAN PASS!!!

from what I remember, anterior closes around 12-18 months or so... and posterior closes earlier like 3-4 months

I did not look it up, so let me know if i'm wrong...

I wish you all good luck on your test.....I planned to take it this April but I still dont have my ATT. I failed last March 1, so I think I am not prepared to take the NCLEX too soon... could someone suggest what to do a couple days before the exam....for relaxation/meditation..... besides going to the gym/message..... any animations online....i'm getting a little tense as the time is approaching.... will be driving to the testing center area tomorrow and wanted to do somestuff online...... for relaxation....

All of us feel the same way hun, one day or the other day. Some day I feel like on top of the world, and then there are days when I feel down in dumps ... reading the posts here, prayer ... is helping me to carry on. Good luck

Last week, I almost lost it. I was over exhausted (correct word). I was giggling like anything and everything like a mad person ... I was losing it. It's crazy! I took chichi and everyone else's advise and just tried to forget everything. I'm back today again rested. I almost felt like I was going to pass out and felt kind of sick. I'm glad, I did whatever I did to get rid of that accumulated stress.

And the fontanel one, I think u guys are correct, I dont' have my book with me. But I think it's correct. If I come across it, I'll post it again to reconfirm it.

About acid-base balances, When it comes to compensated and partiall compensated it has to do with the PH correct? If the PH is within normal range, it's compensated? What about partially compensated.

I want to specially thank you Chichi. I was trying to understand those rounding to 10, one, 1000 ... everytime, I'd post my guesses, and u'd come and correct it for me. That was really cute and nice of you. I'd come and find my guess was totally off than what you had for answer, so I'd go back and look at it again and lo and behold, I'd got it wrong ... I'd go and see what was wrong ... it was very helpfulf for me. Thank you again.

hey guys!! its official! its april!! im sure we all are all going thru different emotions right now but i just want to remind everyone not to doubt urself because we went to nursing school and studied for this test and weve done our best to prepare for this test! thats enough if u ask me! and also know that God is on our team and he would not let us down! :anpom::anpom:
