Applying for UIC DNP...

Specialties Doctoral

Updated:   Published

Hi all! I am applying for the DNP program at University of Illinois at Chicago (UIC) with a primary care AGNP specialty. Does anyone have any suggestions on building a strong application? I have worked mostly on a med/surg unit and a surgical step down for the past 4 years (as an active duty RN). I have been on 2 deployments. My undergrad GPA was 3.55. Any suggestions are welcome as I am stressing out about the application process, separation from the military, and a move back to Chicago. Thank you!

I GOT AN EMAIL!

Congrats scarykarrey! I still haven't heard anything…. anyone else?

WAIT I DID GET AN EMAIL! Guys check your spam folders that's where mine was

That's where mine was too! I wonder if it was because of the word "congratulations".

Congratulations to both of u.

I got in as well! Congrats to all of you :)

I got an email too!!! Mine was also in my spam which i usually never check lol.. Congrats to everyone who got in!!! What campus are you guys at??

I'm at the Chicago campus. Was accepted to 2 other programs now I have to decide where I want to go :).

I was accepted to the Quad Cities campus.

Does anyone know when orientation will be? Or how quickly they will get back to us with our financial aid packages? What they're able to offer is going to make a huge difference in whether I'll be able to attend or not.

I was accepted to the Chicago campus, specialty in adult acute care. Anyone else the same? The email said that we will get an official acceptance letter in the mail in 2-3 weeks that will give us our orientation date. I'm not sure about financial aid, I haven't been able to find much info on it so far. It might be easier to just call the nursing school and see what it is you need to do to get that process started.

Congrats all! I got in as well..Chicago campus, Primary care AGNP! I'm so nervous/excited for this adventure to begin!
