Applying for UCF Spring 2012 Basic BSN Program (Cocoa)

Just wanted to start a group where applicants for UCF's BSN program can go for moral support as well as information. As those who have applied or are planning on applying know, the deadline is July 1st. We shouldn't expect to hear anything back for atleast 6 weeks from what I heard. The suspense! Good luck everyone! :)

Hi all: Perhaps I can give you some useful info: I am currently in the ABSN program at UCF Orlando. We were all notified as to the status of acceptance ( in, out, or waitlist) at the same time via email which came through around 6 pm on a Friday. Pretty much everyone who was waitlisted ended up getting in as so many applicants apply to multiple schools. Letters via mail arrived the following week. The waiting is agony - hang in there....

Thanks for responding. Agreed, the waiting is agony. Hopefully, we will all hear something soon. This seems to be taking a little while. My heart starts thumping every time I open my email. I'm sure we will hear something any day now. :)

Well, today is the 29th and still no news from UCF. What did you end of doing? Good luck either way! :)

I called the College and was told that with the large number of applicants this year, we will not be hearing anything til probably Sep 1. I hate this waiting, it is seriously driving me nuts!

I heard the same about the date. I would expect something closer to Thursday.

That's not exactly what I want to hear. I'd love to hear not as many applied this year. :) Well, September 1st is only three days away. I got another email from UCF today the title shown was "UCF College of Graduate Studies" my heart nearly stopped seeing "UCF". It turned out to be some info on a Grad fair. They should take me off their email list while I am waiting to receive such an important email... :)

Well with the economy, many places are not rehiring when they lose staff. I would expect that this had something to do with the delay, even if there were the same number of applicants as always.
