Hi,
Anyone else out there applying this fall/winter to BSN programs in Oregon? I am getting my application packets organized, ordering transcripts etc. Last year I applied to one school, Linfield, and was wait-listed . Now that all my pre-reqs are complete I am applying to 5 schools and hope to have better luck and maybe even get accepted to one of them!
Linfield did have an extremely low pass rate about 10 years ago, and they have implemented a lot of HESI and other review systems and have brought it up. Financial aid is unpredictable, to the OP; you might want to find out what scholarships and grants you will qualify for. Due to the aid and the semester system versus quarter system, I paid less for Linfield than I would have for OHSU.
I'm considering moving to the Portland area, so I am trying to find out about the nursing schools in that area. Are there waitlists? For Linfield, I will not have a year of chemistry by the next application deadline. Are they really strict about having that BEFORE you apply, or do they just want you to have it before you start?
Information on other programs is helpful! Thanks so much!!

Only 2 schools had higher rates, OHSU-SOU Ashland and Walla Walla Portland.
The only school with a lower pass rate than OHSU Portland was OHSU-EOU LaGrande.
