  1. The CVICU isn't hiring new grads yet. (Our program is still really new). The MSICU might be hiring new grads. Not sure how open you are to a commute, but several of my classmates started at Salem Hospital, and are all still there.. (Linfield 2007). They have a MSICU and a CVICU...
  2. I work at Kaiser. We are hiring. We just opened a new CVICU, the program is off to a good start. Also, for any nurses with CVICU experience, they are offering a 10K bonus for night shift...
  3. I have several friends from nursing school that started at Salem as new grads... One year later, and they are all still there... They have enjoyed the experience, and have been treated very well. The only downside is the commute from Portland...
  4. We standing orders, DO NOT WEDGE on all PA Caths..
  5. I have worked at Mayo for a year, and love it. We are well staffed, have a great team environment, as well as a collaborative relationship with the docs. Managment does a great job of supporting the nurses, and the institution really does keep the focus on providing great care to the patients..
  6. hi there.. i just started in the icu as well at mayo.. the new grad program is wonderful.. plus.. the whites actually seem kinda normal when you see everyone in them!! just remember to stock up on tide pens!!! best of luck!!
