Hi future nurses!

Anyone here applying for Spring 2014? I'm from SoCal (Los Angeles area). I applied at LA County, LACC, Pasadena, LA Trade Tech. I've already taken the TEAS V and passed it. I've heard from LA Trade and said that Sping 2014 is already closed. :( But I sent them my TEAS anyways in hope that they still have a spot for Spring 2014. I'm still waiting for PAsadena and LA County. I have an appt with the counselor at LACC to evaluate my transcripts and TEAS score. Ugh! this wait is killing me...anyone who is feeling the same way with me??? :unsure: Where did you apply? how's your GPA? Mine is 3.5 (I think!)...I'm just an average student :smug:

I applied to ELAC and LA county/Allied Health. I received both acceptance letters the first 2 week of november. I just wanted to post just in case anyone was wondering about when the letters would be out. Goodluck to everyone and see you at pre-registration. :)

@jofapcastillo just hang in there! Did you hear back from LACC? I'm rooting for you! Also, PCC is sending out emails between now and the next two weeks, so hopefully you will hear something from them soon.

Thank u so much, you're very nice. No I haven't heard from the county and PCC. **sigh**. Its breaking my heart but I have to stay strong.

Hey. Just wanted to let you guys know that I applied to LA county, LACC, and LAVC. I already got an acceptance letter from LA county on the 8th. I also got a phone call from LAVC today. I declined the offer for LAVC because my first choice was county. I haven't heard anything from LACC yet.

Well I just got an acceptance letter from LACC...but it is not addressed to me. Apparently, LACC's computer program had a glitch and it turns out that I am alternate instead. I declined my alternate status because I was already accepted to 3 out of the 4 schools that I applied to; but what concerns me most is that some poor girl (or guy) who is waiting for his/her acceptance letter is probably waiting frantically because I have it. Also, I find it quite disconcerting that this supposed "glitch" occurred, because if you think about it - it's kind of a breach in privacy. Having our names and addresses switched, really bothers me a great deal.

Anyway, if you didn't receive a letter of acceptance from LACC yet, that might be a good sign because they will be sending out the correct letters soon.

I applied to LA County, PCC, and GCC. GCC didn't accept me but called me after to offer me a seat as an alternate which I declined since I had just found out I was accepted into the LA County. PCC sent me an email also accepting me into their program which I also declined.

I'm so happy that as my first choice LA County had accepted me into their program ☺️

Does anyone know how long it usually takes before the alternates hear anything?

The same exact thing happened to me! How frustrating to think you received an acceptance but really you're just an alternate. I'm also really skeptical about this "glitch". How does something like that even happen? I've heard bad things about the way the LACC program is run so their sloppiness in sending out letters really doesn't surprise me.
