are you applying for Spring 2014?

Hi future nurses!

Anyone here applying for Spring 2014? I'm from SoCal (Los Angeles area). I applied at LA County, LACC, Pasadena, LA Trade Tech. I've already taken the TEAS V and passed it. I've heard from LA Trade and said that Sping 2014 is already closed. :( But I sent them my TEAS anyways in hope that they still have a spot for Spring 2014. I'm still waiting for PAsadena and LA County. I have an appt with the counselor at LACC to evaluate my transcripts and TEAS score. Ugh! this wait is killing me...anyone who is feeling the same way with me??? Where did you apply? how's your GPA? Mine is 3.5 (I think!)...I'm just an average student :smug:

Hello,

Good luck on your applications! I hope that you get accepted into one of these schools that you're applying to.

I have applied at several of these colleges here too & then some: COC, LA County, GCC, PCC, LASC, LAPC, LA Trade Tech, LAVC, LACC. LACC had to be the one that took the most tedious to apply to, since you have to attend the information session, schedule an appointment with the counselor, go back to pick up an application, then return the application with all the required documents & essay. I'm actually happy they do that though. It weeds out those that are qualified to apply.

For LA Trade Tech, I thought they accept applications on a first come first serve basis?

The wait and anticipation is what makes the whole process that much more nail-biting. I find myself constantly checking my email through the day even though some schools won't be notifying us until late October early November. I'm sure a lot of us feel the same way.

Ugh! Yup! LA TRADE TECH Spring 2014 is already close they said. But they said to not lose hope, some people might drop or not respond. I have to go to LACC infosession on monday. Yeah my friend told me about it. Did you really have to do an essay? Are you done applying at LACC? Did you take the TEAS already?

What a bummer! It is true though about people dropping out or not responding, so just go on and submit in case any of those events happen. Yeah the essay is a 300 words. I just submitted my application yesterday. The due date is October 18 but I wanted to get it out of the way. I took the teas last year and submitted my score through the ATI website.

Yeah, some people just drop for some reason. Do you mind if I ask what kind of essay?

I can hand in over the official transcripts on the day of the counseling right? Oh gosh! Hopefully I can do everything on the same day. It sucks cuz I work. I can only do stuff on my days off. ?

Yes you can submit your official transcripts when you meet with the counselor. You'll have to take the application home to complete the additional requirements.

The essay was asking why you wished to be considered for the LACC nursing program.

I have a question, if I see the counselor, can I submit my application and necessary docs at the the same time with the counseling or Im gonna have to go back to submit it after the counseling?

You would need to submit after you meet with the counselor.

Hi there! Where did you apply? Good luck to all of us!

Hi there! Where did you apply? Good luck to all of us!

I only applied to County, Moorpark, PCC & LACC. I'm hoping to at least get into one of them as I do realize that PCC & LACC accept via the Chancellor's Formula and the lottery system so the chances of getting in are quite slim b/c of so many qualified applicants! But County is my first choice and it helps that they use the points system for entry.

What about you? Which schools have you applied to?
