Applying to nursing school with academic probation on record. Does anyone know if that'll affect my chances of getting into nursing school? Or if they'll even look at my application?

Highly likely that it will.

well yeah. unless you are applying only to a school that charges crazy high tuition because they take anyone with a strong pulse and a checkbook it's going to affect your chances. you will be competing for admission against students who have no negatives on their record.
how about meeting with an admissions counselor where you plan to apply and see what they suggest you do to increase your odds?

If you've turned things around, you could explain the circumstances and what you've learned from it in your essay or a letter (if they will accept one). Poor grades of course will negatively affect your chances, but admissions also like to see someone with life experience and someone who can meaningfully reflect on past mistakes. Make a date with your advisor and good luck!

Yeah. Keep in mind that your application is up against near-perfect GPA's without blemishes.

What "school of nursing'' would this be?

My community college didn't care. They only look at your algebra, biology and chemistry grades, teas score and essay. Depends on the school. Best bet is to email admissions and ask them.
