Applying to Nevada BON, CES report Language Proficiency "Not Applicable", take TOEFL?

Published

Hi Guys,

Just wondering...would anyone happen to know whether I'd have to take a TOEFL exam for Nevada BON to apply for NCLEX? I received my CES report not so long ago and under Language Proficiency "Not Applicable" is indicated. Does this mean I'm exempted?

I graduated from the Philippines with a BSN and currently residing in California, but would like to work in Nevada for various reasons, its just the whole TOEFL situation is kind of ehh..esp since English is my second language. Language of instruction, textbook use is and was all taught in English. Please help! :( I did read the Nevada BON International Graduates PDF and it says there that i'm required. I guess, idk, I suppose when I saw on my CES report "Not Applicable", for some miracle, I would be exempted... Has anyone does this???

BTW: a friend of mine who graduated in the same school as I did in the Philippines, applied for Texas RN examination and its indicated that a TOEFL is required, however, in their CES Report, it too, indicated Language Proficiency "Not Applicable", just did Jurisprudence and has now received their ATT.

Please help!!!!

Have you tried asking the BON? they really would have the correct answer. May even be posted on their website
