hi Im presently on completion in taking my local board here in the Phiulippines to become an RN, my next step

after that is to take the NCLEX exam...im planning to apply for Arizona as the state of choice

since i heard they dont require to take the CGFNS anymore...Im a bit confused on their requirements

about obtaining one of the following: visa screen , cgfns certification, health care prof. course by course

report, or full education course by course report... My question is= which among them would

have a faster processing time to be completed?... Also, what English exam would be most appropriate to take??Im thinking

just the IELTS..Will that do? Lastly, what is the soonest time that I could have accomplished these tests in order to take the

NCLEX....Please help..im really confused ...please give me a clear plan wat to do...tnx.

hi michsabariaga...

by the way i am also from the phils :)

first thing..you have to concentrate on passing the local board exams... step by step ka muna so you can also gain confidence in your test taking skills....hehehe. another thing, since you mentioned you ought to apply for arizona and they don't require any cgfns exams..you can have a visa screen by having nclex+ielts or cgfns+ielts...nclex application would take time to process so i would suggest while you wait for your eligibility notice for the nclex...review ka nalang and take the ielts exams anyway the exam is held every month. :)

i hope i helped you in some way with this one. this output came from a variety of sources. godbless

I'm in the UK and will be taking the NCLEX in June this year. I just wanna say that IELTS is much easier or friendlier than TSE. You might want to have a go on that one. And best of luck on your review too! ;)

hey thanks for your helpful tips, ill take a note on that.. anyweiz im still clueless on the applying for the state of choice...like do i need to pass first the result of an english exam like ielts and other requirements before i get approved on sitting down for an nclex exam? (bec. i saw in the packet dat it is one of the requirements before they approve the exam) Or can i still apply for the state while im still procwessing on taking an ielts? And if ever i do pass on the arizona state does it mean thats my only state of choice to work? My prefered choice is really california since most of my relatives and my sister is in L.A,but suzanne mentioned that its hard to get approved in California...what state do you think is closest and much easier to apply other than arizona?

Honestly, I have no idea. I let my agency deal with it :) But as far as I know, you need to pass the IELTS or any other English proficiency test (e.g. TOEFL/TSE) first before they let you take the NCLEX. Take things one at a time .... then you'll just be surprised to know that you have actually made it!!! Good luck in your application :)

NCLEX exam has reciprocity, meaning that it is good for all states. You still need to go thru the application process for a state, and later on to ensore to another state, if you wish.

AZ requires the CES, done by CGFNS before they will permit you to sit for the NCLEX exam.

Please read the stickies at the top of the International Forum, every single thing is listed there that you need to know.

Sorry, but that is the worst mistake that you can make, letting your agecny take care of everything.

You still need to take responsibility for what is going on. And do your homework, or you deserve what ever happens to you.

Please i need someone's encouragement concerning the nclex i took a fourthnight ago.My result seems to be taking ages.!My name was not posted on the board.iwas stopped at 151.Do i call the board for my result?California does not participate in the quick unofficial result stuff. How long will i wait to get my result?someone please say something before i go crazy.

I responded to your pm that you sent to me.

It will be about one month before you receive the letter from them, forget about checking the website. You will not see your name there until you are able to give the BRN a SSN#.
