I applied to Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing..took the NET and received great scores:yeah: and now, waiting to set-up interview with school.
Anywone else applying and waiting to hear back? Anyone already go through their interview? I'm interested in waiting with other applicants!
This is my top choice and I'm ready to be accepted!! :D
Onedayanurse,
I just got my receipt of application from MHSON yesterday. I was hoping it would be a test date. The good thing is that MHSON looks at the person as a whole and not a grade. Muhlenberg was in fact the TEAS version V - No science portion. There were a lot of people taking it and a lot of retakes. Retakes sit in a separate room. To be honest, I v'e taken a NLN for the LPN and the TEAS for RN and honestly, in my own personal experience I found the NLN to much harder. But that's just me. Christ hospital uses the NLN PAX RN and I am still waiting to hear from them too. I am currently a student at Bergen Community College and have all my pre-reqs done there so I plan to apply for the evening program which is Oct 1st deadline. I was even going to take the LPN - RN route but there are so many open admissions now to the RN schools that it crosses over the deadline for some the LPN schools I got accepted to. Bottom line - nothing is easy. These pre admission tests seem easy and everyone has their intake on them but what usually seems easy...raises a question. Don't be discouraged and keep your head on straight. Try not to listen to the negative or other people's long journey because it can be very discouraging. Believe me - it's been a long road for me and I still haven't given up. I know I will get in, I have to believe in myself. Any questions holla back.
Ciao
Hi Nancy,
Thanks for the encouragement... It has been a long road for me as well. About test dates, once MHSON received my application it took about a month for me to receive a test date, so hang in there. I am not giving up...I have my test this Tuesday at Mountainside. You said there were quite a few RN programs with open admissions can you let me what schools they are. I would appreciate it. Thanks and hang in there!!!

I was nervous when I first took it I guess that's y I didn't do so well....I didn't get to finish the reading comprehension part because I read the passage like 3x so I wasted time therefore my lowest score was in that section....math section I did really good...science not so good....my overall score was 72.5. I'm a second degree student , I also applied to a few other schools mostly Accelerated BSN... I also received tht letter from mountainside stating they have received my application. Do u know how long the process take for them to make a decision . I called but can't never get them on the phone. I will try again today. Gd luck on your teas
