I applied to Mountainside Hospital School of Nursing..took the NET and received great scores:yeah: and now, waiting to set-up interview with school.
Anywone else applying and waiting to hear back? Anyone already go through their interview? I'm interested in waiting with other applicants!
This is my top choice and I'm ready to be accepted!! :D
Thank you so much. Congrats to you too!!!! I think I have read every word of your blog...very imformative. You must be so excited.. Best of luck with your move and your job...I hope I can do as well as you. I have a question, do you remember what your schedule was during the nursing assistant class that we have to take over the summer and your first semester? just wondering so I can plan ahead...Thanks and once again Congrats!!!!!
Hi Francine,
I'm happy to hear that you received an interview..Don't worry about it, just be yourself. It was basic stuff; why do you want to be a nurse, will you be working, do you have a support system? questions like that..not very hard. Just be honest... Who are you meeting with? Mrs. L is wonderful!! About the summer schedule, well, for me it will be crazy because I'm also taking Chemistry at night, but this is what Mrs. L told me. There are two sessions, either a 3 week or 4 week. Classes start on July 5th so the 5th-7th is 9-4 (class), wk 2 is 2 days 7-3 (clinical), 2 days 9-4, wk 3 is 3 days 7-3 1 day 9-4, wk 4 is 3 days 7-3 last day final. If you do the 3wk program you follow the first three week schedule and than every friday is an additional 7-3 clinical. I'm really not sure how this is going to start on the 5th because Mrs. L said I would receive a package with additional information of what needs to be done, like order uniforms, physical exam info, background check, etc...and I still have not received anything, so well see maybe they will delay it a week or so...I'll keep my fingers crossed for you, but you'll do fine.. let me know how you make out. Hopefully, I will be meeting you very shortly...Good Luck!
Hi Nancy,
Don't be nervous. I was flipping out about it, no need to. Just review basic english, the math was a lot of word problems. I didn't do as well as I wanted, however, I did better than I thought. After you finish go in and see Mrs. *, that's what I did and she interviewed me at that time. Just say you want to show her your grades. She is a wonderful person..Good Luck!!! stay calm! Let me know how you did..
