First time applying to ADN program, application got declined due to 2.3 gpa in the science course anatomy, physio, micro. Overall gpa is 3.2. Majority of the schools require 2.5 gpa and above to be considered into the lottery/program. Anyone can give me tips/advise what I can do? Currently feel lost and upset.

Is that 2.5 minimum science GPA for consideration in the programs? Just some options off the top of my head...
- Retake your science prereqs for a higher grade. I'm assuming from 2.3 you got mostly C/C+ grades. This may require relocation if the school you go to doesn't allow you to retake classes where you got higher than a C.
- Look for programs where the grade requirement is only getting a C in your prerequisites. Not sure what part of California you live in but LA County School of Nursing has a 2.0 minimum overall GPA and a minimum C for nursing prerequisites. Once again, may require relocation.
- Get your LVN first and bridge to RN. Longer, but easier if you don't want to retake classes or relocate, and you can work as an LVN while getting your RN.
- Get your CNA and get some experience to make your resume look better. Get a good grade on the TEAS if required for programs.
Hope some of that helps. Good luck.

Don't give up. The same thing happened to me. I had to retake my sciences for a better grade and then I was accepted into 3 schools. 😆

Don't be too quick to retake those science classes, for some schools you get slammed hard for any retakes of Micro, Anatomy, and Physiology, even for English. But if you took Micro 60, and didn't do well, you can take Micro 5 and it's not a retake. It's a tougher class so you need to figure out what you're going to do differently to be successful. Go talk to counselors at every school you want to apply to and find out what their cut score is. Don't bother applying if you can't make their cut. Have you taken the TEAS? If not, take it (study like mad first). You can retake once in a year so if your score isn't great, you can retake it. You just haven't found the right programs to apply to yet, don't get discouraged.

Do you have any idea what caused you to do so poorly in those classes? Were you working too many hours, not taking class seriously, not putting in the study time? Just not getting the subject material?
I'm going to be blunt here, but if you are averaging Cs in those classes, you will fail nursing school. Not only is nursing school more rigorous, more time consuming, and the subject material more in-depth and require application and critical thinking, but most school require a 75%-80% (depending on the school) to pass. Anything below that is failure.
You need to figure out where you went wrong, and exactly how to improve before you even consider further pursing nursing school.
I know it's difficult to interpret tone online, so I just want to let you know that I say this kindly. It would be a tremendous waste of your time if you don't figure out the underlying issue and address it before **** gets real in nursing school.
