Hello all,

i just thought i would would start a thread for those awaiting acceptance from programs for fall 2017. I have already been accepted to Simmons (MSN) . I also applied to ECU (DNP), UNC (MSN) , and Duke (MSN). I applied for Family Nurse Practitioner at each.

Where did you apply? what is your top choice?

Hey there!

I have applied to the FNP program at UNC (MSN) and the DNP FNP program at Duke (sub-specialty in cardiology). I am excited/nervous!! :bag:

I was just invited to interview on campus for FNP DNP program at Rush University, anyone have any experience with these interviews yet?

I have applied to the University of Michigan's BSN to DNP program as well, however for AGPCNP (primary care). Have you heard anything about acceptance rates or class sizes? I am trying to gauge how much I should get my hopes up!

I am local as well with my BSN from GVSU.

Let me know, thanks and best of luck!

I also applied to UNC for MSN-NP (PMHNP) fall 2017. I placed all my eggs in one basket as I am only really interested in Mental Health and it's the only program in the state of NC. Any other school out of the state would not be affordable for me and although I'm hopeful, I have prepared for my next steps if I'm not offered acceptance. I attended an information session in the fall and they were able to answer a lot of my questions about program expectations, application process, etc. One of my references contacted me and said she was questioned about her letter because when it was submitted, it was scrambled :nailbiting:. Thankfully, they allowed her to resubmit the reference letter post deadline and they repeatedly expressed that it would in no way effect my application. Good luck!

You mentioned affordable tuition. I don't know if you looked at University of South Alabama, but their tuition is very affordable as you pay the online student tuition, not the out-of-state tuition, for their program. They have a Psychiatric NP program. Here's the link: Psychiatric (Family) Nurse Practitioner

@SopranoKris Thanks for the info! I'll be sure to check that program out

Hello! I have applied to ECU's DNP program as well as UNCW, UNC Charlotte, and the University of South Carolina's FNP program. I was told that I would hear back from ECU by mid-February. I am very anxious about hearing back! Please let me know if any of y'all hear back!

I'm a recent grad applying to 3 Post-RN PMHNP programs for Fall 2017. BC, MGHIHP, and Northeastern. The deadlines are mid- to late- March so I'm still working on my applications. Hope to hear back in May or so.

I have applied to Indiana State University FNP program. I received an email last week stating my application is complete and they hope to have all decisions made by March 15. I haven't applied to any other schools. If I don't get accepted I think I may try University of Cincinnati.

Congrats everyone I love seeing all your goals realized!

This week I found out I am accepted to Viterbo University's BSN-DNP program for fall. (FNP)

I'm also waiting to hear from another school in the next month or so. The waiting is torture!

@ DNP tobe-Congrats on your acceptance!!

@kaciep I was invited to interview for the same program. Have you interviewed yet? Heard from anyone else that's interviewing? I've only seen a few other threads. I also applied for George Washington University and University of South Alabama.
