I know that it's early, but I really wanted to get a jump on this. I have read the past two years' threads from start to finish and have seen the amazing support given by everyone involved. Considering how competitive it is for nursing school admission, it is extremely informative and heart-warming. I will be applying to all the schools in the Portland/Salem area to which I will qualify. This next year is going to be rough, but ever since I started on this journey I have loved every moment.
A little about me:
Again, I know this is early, but I look forward to seeing the responses from everyone!
Thank you for sharing what you found out! I'm driving myself insane checking my email. Good luck!
I just called the admissions office at OHSU. They said they haven't had a chance to send out any communications e-mails yet, but they should be coming soon. She verified that all of my application requirements were submitted and wished me luck. So, that answers that.
Has anyone received confirmation or anything from Clackamas?I did get an e-mail from MHCC confirming my application was complete, but nothing from CCC yet.
Looking back at the thread for the 2013 applicants, I don't think Clackamas sent out anything until mid-March. We still have a couple of weeks of waiting if they keep to their previous schedule.
I don't think the criteria has changed at all since last year, so maybe the cutoff will still be around 50 points? I can't find any 58 point cutoff comments on the forum anywhere, and I've searched for quite a while, so that makes me feel a little better. I freaked out after I initially read your comment. I worked my tuchus off to get a 4.0 in the prereqs and CNA certified, all while working 2 jobs.
I must have misread it somewhere. I'm sorry for confusing you! I hope we both make it to the essay! OHHH here is where i found this; although it seems to be from quite a long time ago and I didn't realize that https://allnurses.com/oregon-nursing/applicants-pdx-area-453749-page13.html
I am at OHSU-Monmouth and I have had to take out student loans, I was granted some though FAFSA but not enough. I took out 17,000 this year and most of it was through Wells Fargo. Tuition was 13,000 the rest was for extra living expenses and books. I have spent about 1000 on books but we don't have to buy but maybe 2 books for the rest of the program. There are a lot of scholarships available, but most go to second and third year students after they have established there nursing GPA. I have applied to over 60 scholarships for next year and am waiting to hear back in the next couple months. Dont let cost scare you, we have tons of students that have growing families, it is totally doable!

Nothing from CCC here. Just a good old fashioned receipt for my application payment.
