I know that it's early, but I really wanted to get a jump on this. I have read the past two years' threads from start to finish and have seen the amazing support given by everyone involved. Considering how competitive it is for nursing school admission, it is extremely informative and heart-warming. I will be applying to all the schools in the Portland/Salem area to which I will qualify. This next year is going to be rough, but ever since I started on this journey I have loved every moment.
A little about me:
Again, I know this is early, but I look forward to seeing the responses from everyone!
I need some advice. Im planning my fall schedule and need to take another class in addition to nursing classes for financial aid. So I would take bio 101 or 112 for genetics or Wr 123 or 227? Any recommendations?
Do we need to take WR 123 or 227 if we took WR 121 and 122 at 4 credits?? I didn't think so but, now I'm not so sure. Well.... I am currently taking BI 101 at PCC Sylvania and let me tell ya...it's A LOT of work for a 100 level class, no joke. BI 112 is a lot too. I wouldn't take either of those but, I guess if you have too, the first term of nursing school may be the best since it's the lightest load.
I think that for OHSU you need to take WR 121 122 and 123 or 227 for the bachelors. And as for the bio classes 101 is offered online at CCC. Thank you missjordie I was torn between 123 and 227 but now I think 227 will be the way to go.
@ JaymeeL...my husband took -------------------- online for 227 @ PCC and he REALLY liked the class. It was reasonable work for him (he works like 50+ hours a week and goes to school full time) and he really enjoyed the class. It doesn't require a whole lot of work and it's pretty straightforward.
Hope this helps!
