Hi fellow applicants for 2010!!
I wanted to start a thread for all of us who are applying to various nursing schools in the area for 2010. I have applied to five different places: OHSU-Monmouth, University of Portland, Portland Community College, The University of Washington, and Boise State University. I wanted to cover myself and hopefully ensure that I would get in somewhere. I have a really good GPA and experience as an EMT-Basic so I am hoping that that will help my chances.
Just waiting it out until they send out notifications.....I just want to hear back!!!
Good luck to everyone who applied!
zatoichi,i am sorry if i sounded confusing :). everything is correct. my question is basically, if everything is correct, do i need to take any action? does ccc still want to hear from me? or do i just not do anything? hope this helps! thanks for stepping up to answer my question.
kurdrn, if everything is correct than their is no need to call. a call should be made if you find a mistake, but since you agreed the evaluation is correct it's best to wait for ccc response through the mail. :)
kurdrn, just want you to know i'm crossing my fingers for you to make it into ccc! like others said, you will make a great nurse... can just tell by your postings!all the best, and keep at it until you get there.
jenmiller, if you don't mind, can you also please cross your toes for me as well? anything at this point is helpful, believe me. just kidding. thanks a quadrillion!!! i appreciate it!!! after being declined by pcc, mhcc, and ohsu, this is my last option. i am so hoping to get in. if not, then there is always next year. i don't know what they are thinking, i am 23 and i'll keep applying until i cash my 401k (although, if the economy stays the way it is now, it will probably be a blank check). i consider myself lucky because i already have a rewarding job as an m.a., good insurance, also make enough money to feed my wife and 1 yr old daughter. so, i should be thankful for what i got, and i am sure god will fuifill my wishes of becoming an rn when it is the right time. nonetheless, i wish you the best of luck and as well as all others that are still awaiting to hear from a school.
purple rose, i am glad you got your letter from ccc, wish you good luck as well; however, i am pretty sure you'll get into one of the schools you got waitlisted for :). lucky you!
ps: i am sure y'all will make great rns as well! thanks a bunch!

I think what Zatoichi was saying though is that she intends to pay the difference with Student Loans, in contrast to income from working.
