Applicants to OCNE 2016-2018

Hello everybody! Long time lurker and first time poster on this site. I was hoping to start a thread to see where everybody is at on their points and etc. Some info about myself I suppose: Applied at PCC, MHCC and CCC, I have experience as a CNA and completed all my pre-req's with 3.9 GPA. Feeling pretty good but not when its compared to 800 other applicants! Thought this would be a good way to see if emails were being sent in the next few weeks and waitlist info. Good luck everyone :D

Thanks for writing back, talking to people who have been through all three really helps. PCC is my top choice so I'm really hoping I get in. Then mhcc and ccc, due to distance and lack of familiarity. Joked with my friend about the essay having a spell check lol this generation is doomed without one

Oh goodness, yes! Use spellcheck! ;) I wish you the best! If and when you get in, think about whether or not you want a mentor. Us to-be second years are definitely willing to help!

I got notification that I will be interviewed at Lane CC! They are interviewing 109 of 219 applicants and the cut-off was 52.54 points. I hope to connect with more nurse hopefuls on allnurses and I wish luck to all this year.

Hi, I was just wondering what 5 MMI's means? How many people are in a group interviewing? Did you like the group interview process, or do you think you would have preferred a personal interview? Thanks!

The 5 MMIs are 5 different rooms that you interview in. They are each different questions about things like leadership and you have 8 minutes in each room. I know that is what Klamath falls does. The Portland campus says group interview which is 5 applicants with 3 interviewers. I have no idea what to expect for the group interview but I would think I would prefer a personal interview.

I just got an email from MHCC saying I wasn't selected for an interview. Oh, well. I'm sure it had to do with me not completing any credits there and no prior degree. Hopefully CCC sends their emails soon.

Me too! I didn't do my prereqs there either but have a prior degree. But I figured it was due to not having a CNA. Weird to me that PCC gave me a chance but MHCC didn't....

Yeah, I have 6 years exp. as a CNA so who knows. Haha.

I was not selected for MHCC either. I'm not going to open up my Clackamas email if it comes today. I don't want it to psych me out for my interview at OHSU tomorrow lol Now I feel like it was a fluke that I got invited to interview with OHSU! haha
