Applicants to Chico for Fall 2014??

U.S.A. California

Hi Everyone!

I'm just putting my feelers out to find others applying to the BSN program at Chico State for the Fall of 2014. The deadline to apply is in a week, so I'm getting excited and antsy!! I am from Arcata (Humboldt County) and live here currently, but I am excited to be hopefully moving to Chico in the fall!!

Hey guys!

So happy I finally found this thread! :)

Part of me is so relieved that everything has been submitted but then I think of mid-April and my heart drops!

As of right now, I stand at 86 to 87 points...

Question: Did any of you receive an e-mail from someone confirming that they received your TEAS transcript?

I feel the same way! And welcome! I didn't receive an email from the school saying they received it. I just saved my receipt from ATI saying it was sent to Chico.

Ahhh okay, I see! I just wanted to make sure that I wasn't the only one that didn't receive an email in the case that they were sending them out.

Has your coursework being verified by NursingCAS? It was such a huge pain in the butt inputting everything and making sure that no mistakes have been made. They're very picky with details...

I didn't get anything saying they received my TEAS transcript, but since I took it at Chico it is pretty much assumed that they have it. We only have 6 weeks until we find out if we got in! Longest 6 weeks ever....but we can do it! Good luck!

Ya we are in the same boat if we were supposed to get a confirmation. Yes my coursework and GPA have been verified. How's yours going with verification? It was a bit of a pain being that it was a much different process than the other schools I applied to. My only hope is that maybe admissions decisions are faster this way now that all the hard work is done, such as the verification.

@curlypearly: Good luck to you as well! Since you took the TEAS at Chico, I assume you live in Chico or surrounding areas.. correct? If so, how's living in Chico like? I live in Los Angeles so I would have to move up there, which I've been told will be a major change for me. In my opinion, I thinking moving to different city is a change regardless so I don't know if people are exaggerating. haha.

@caligirl7: I don't think we were suppose to receive a confirmation. Perhaps I should email one of the advisors just to double check (I will let you know). Lucky you! My coursework is still in the process of being verified. How long did yours take?

Mine took at least 2 weeks and there was a holiday in there during that time. I read that it can take longer when many deadlines are approaching. They do send an email to you when it is completed. I kept checking and logging in but they send an email which would of take out the logging in constantly.

I actually don't live in Chico, I live in Arcata, but I took the test in Chico because they don't offer it anywhere where I live. From what I've experienced, Chico is super cute and a nice place to live though! They have a really great farmers market and nice downtown area with lots of restaurants and bars, but it will definitely be a big change from LA!! I think it took about a week and a half for my coursework to be verified, and I got an email telling me so.

@caligirl7: I was constantly checking everyday too but I received an email from NursingCAS this morning that my coursework has been verified! At least I don't have to worry about that anymore..

@curlypearly: Ahh I see. Well thanks for giving me some insight :)... You live up North so the good thing is you wont have to move that far from home... Yeah mines took a week and a half too.. such a big relief.

Question to both of you ladies: Assuming that both of you are transfer students (correct me if I'm wrong), when you filled out the application on CSUmentor, what did you declare your major as for Chico?

I declared pre-nursing

I declared pre-nursing, as well.

Thanks girls... Just wanted to make sure.

Oh the waiting game. One more month.
