Apollo Nursing School

U.S.A. Arizona

I called today to get some info. about the school and I was told I have to go to an info. session, with a choice of Tues. @5 or Fri. @noon. I was wondering if any of you have any info. on this school before I go. Any info. will help thanks!

For some reason I'm thinking it's a very new program. I don't believe they've even had a graduating class yet; perhaps they haven't even started a class yet.

Specializes in Telemetry, ICU, Psych.

The've just graduated a class; I think that it is the first one. A co-worker of mine went through the program. She was applying to ASU & the CC's, but didn't want to wait. While the rest of her friends are just getting into nursing school, she has passed her boards (about 1 month ago) and is working as a new grad RN.

As far as the specifics, they are heavy on the NCLEX prep. They need good stats because they are a new school. At this point, I would say look into it. Although the program is about $30,000, many hospitals provide loan forgiveness and your income may double (hers almost tripled) a few years early. Good luck!

Mayaquice, did you go to the info session, how did it go?

I do believe you have to have all of your pre-req's done before being accepted. Then, it is still $30K. Wow. But hey, to some it's better than waiting on a list for more than a year!

Actually I plan on doing the nursing portion at Apollo. The info session is really good, they answer alot of questions and you get a tour and everything. You aldo do not have to have all your prereqs to do it. They have all the prereqs therea s well. The program is 2 yrs...half the time of of communioty college, and for now now major waiting list...although its getting popular and they are starting to get one..still not as bad and the communty coleeges though. I did my prereqs already since for now the only classes are during the day, but if that works for you then it is so worth it. It is rather pricey, bt they do have some good options and loan forgiveness programs and such.

I hope this helps a little bit!

I happen to know about apollo college, Its not so bad. I went there and I know out of the 10 from the first graduating class onluy about 5 passed.:monkeydance:

I am in the 1st semester at Apollo. It is a great school. Everyone there seems to care, and help. As far as the tuition goes, try $39,500 for the RN program.

Wow, I was told you had to have pre-re's. That's what happens when you get second hand info I guess. There are going to be 2 other Tech schools implementing RN programs in the next year or so. Everset college and Long Technical. They are still waiting on approval but things are in motion. I think it's a good thing even though the tuitions are high, I believe it will be worth it for many who don't have time to wait on the MCCD waitlists! Student loans are a great solution(in my opinion), you can take up to 10 years to pay them back.

Does anyone know when their (Apollo's) next RN class starts?

Give them a call: 602-864-1571

It may begin the third week of July, I am not quite sure.
