  1. sassiebaz, so have you decided to do the rn instead of lpn first? check your pm's. :)
  2. Emmanuel School of nursing, 43rd Ave and Northern. three weeks total, two weeks of class and one week at Sierra Winds in Peoria, around Bell and 87th Ave.
  3. I would not pay Apollo 43k but I would do the 27k EB program. their prereqs are Eng, Chem, Med Term, Alg and you have to be a CNA. The program is 18 months. If I can be done that quickly compared to the 5 yrs or so it would take me to go the CC route, prereqs plus wait time plus 2 yr program.... I have been to the Apollo info session. same prereqs but their program would cost me 42k. Does anyone know why Apollo charges so much more for the same program? Is it because of the 18k tuition reimbursement they offer if you work for one of their hospitals for 3 yrs? I would not tie myself down like that.
  4. Another vote for Peoria! I live in north Peoria. about 15 minutes further up the road is Vistancia and a lot of other new communities. Nearby hospitals would be Boswell and Del Webb in Sun City, Banner Thunderbird in Glendale and further south on the 101 is Banner Estrella. Even John C Lincoln Deer Valley is only about 20 minutes from here. We picked this area mainly to be in the Peoria Unified school district. pm me if you have any ?'s I agree Buckeye is way out there, the only things I have heard about the other towns you mentioned is that the traffic is horrible in the east valley, although it is getting pretty bad on this side of town also!
  5. Tiffany525, what do you think so far? what semester are you in? Is the CNA a requirement? they didn't mention it at the info session but looking thru the paperwork, it looks like it is.
  6. I went to their info session last week. they start 3x a year, March, July and Nov. 7/16 is full with 12? people on the wait list. they get first dibs for the 11/12/07 class. The first step is to go to their info session then sign up for the cpa-t exam $20. the test is basic math, reading and language. pm me if any other ?'s the prereqs are algebra, english comp, humanities/sociology, psych, a&p I & II, and micro. the first two semesters are prereqs.
  7. There is a 9 month wait for Estrella's LPN program. I went to their info session this past Thursday and took their test. They told us our chances of starting in Nov 2007 is pretty much zero, the next class is in 9 months, April 2008.
  8. Mayaquice, did you go to the info session, how did it go?
