Hey everyone!

Have any of you write the Canadian Registered Nurse Examination (CRNE) February 6th?

If so, how did you find it?

When can we expect to get the results back?

I really think they should just have the results online or something. Like, you can log online and check your results. It seems kind of terrible that they mail us because I mean, in this day and age, everything is done on the computer AND mail services are so unreliable! I can't even begin to tell you the hassles I have had with losing things in the mail. That makes me worry even more! That these results may get lost in the mail. :(

I guess you haven't been made aware that Shaw lost millions of customer emails on Thursday, March 7, 2013. These emails were deleted from their server without the recipients even being aware of their existence. Their server failure began at about 0845 ET and was not even noticed by Shaw until some of their customers began to complain about not receiving their mail around 1330 ET. Email delivery was reestablished at 2120 ET but other than log files, Shaw has no record whatever of the literally millions of emails that were deleted. Business and personal customers alike were affected. So don't be too sure that getting results by computer would be any safer than by snail mail.

Thanks for the random fact but just to sort of reiterate my statement, I said nothing about being e-mailed the results, I said the CNO hosts something where you log on and check your results. Kind of like every university does with webadvisor or the NCLEX, etc.

And you being a Canadian citizen MUST recall the great postal strike of 2012. Yeah? I'm sure you do =).

Congrats Renzlao! I really hope we get our results here in Ontario soon, although someone said on the facebook group yesterday that Ontario hadn't even sent out our exams yet! Its so ridiculous, I don't think they realize how much torture this is waiting!

ANYONE from Ontario... I have a question about the HFO new grad initiative jobs. Does anyone know what happens if we have an interview for a job, but then fail our exam? I am stressing as I have an interview for one of the new grad jobs next Wed. but am worried that if I fail the exam, I am no longer eligible for the program as it is only good for 6 months after we graduate (I finished in Decemeber so must find employment by June). Any insight would be great! :)

My friend who graduated last year got an HFO job and a temporary license to start prior to getting her results, she then failed and was pulled from her position at the hospital. However, it was held for her until she passed her exam and then she could resume as she was already hired for the position.

The hospital receives funding to hire someone and employ them for 6 months, which 6 months you work is up to the hospital, so even if you fail and have already been hired for the position, it will be waiting for you when you are successful with your exam.

Anyway, try and think positively :)!

I also read that on the facebook group that they haven't sent the results out but I find that very unlikely as like, the deadline is the 20th of next week and mail is very slow. The girl on the facebook group also said that it sounded like they were unsure. AND this is the same college that GUARENTEED us our Jurisprudence results on like the 14th, and some ended up getting them like the 20th. I don't trust what they say there because they clearly have absolutely no idea what is going on within their own organization.

Deadline? There is no "deadline" for issuing the results. The Colleges all state that the results will be issued "within 4-6 weeks" of the examination date. But that's not a "deadline", it's a GUIDEline.

The application deadline to rewrite it March 25, 2013.
