It's been a couple of years, but I completed a full time BSN to MSN program while working not only full time but also more than full time as a result of working in a procedural area that requires call. It really comes down to your support system and what you are willing to sacrifice. I paid a cleaning service to take care of my house (I live alone, so it's not like I could ask someone else in the house to do extra), I had a meal prep service that prepared and froze meals- all I had to do was thaw and heat. I pretty much gave up my social life. I used a lot of vacation time to take days off when I needed to do in-person classwork. I made it work for me.
Did you complete it online or on campus? Which program did you attend?
I did an MSN in Nursing Informatics (2011-2015) and an MSN in Nursing Education (2014-2017). Both were online, and even overlapped for a bit. I worked full time with extra jobs and even did some of the first one while deployed to Afghanistan (where I worked 280 days in a row, essentially). Totally doable. :)

I am currently weighing my options and determining my next steps in advancing my degree in nursing. I would like to apply to begin the next level of education in 2018. Is anyone currently working full-time and completing a BSN-MSN online? If so, are you going part-time or full-time? What specialty are you preparing for? What program are you enrolled in? How's it going?
