Anyone worked at First health care?

Published

Since I never hear back from hosipitals I started to send my resume to agencies and TLC. This week I got my first interview ever for a nursing job at first health care. Wondering how it's like working for this agency, they didn't give me a chance to ask questions~

Specializes in ICU, ER.

I have no info for you about that agency, but I wanted to wish you good luck!! :) Are you interviewing for home care or nsg home?

I see you all the time~ I feel like I know you already~~lol

The position is called private duty, basically they might send me everywhere, nursing home, hospital, home, or clinic. The interview was not what I expected at all, they just said they can't hire ppl on temp license. I guess I'll hear back when I get my license.

I would be suspicious if they didn't give you a chance to ask questions about them.If they seem to be railroading into signing up with them I would be careful. I applied to an agency once and they were all ready to sign me up on the spot. They seemed to be awfully anxious that I should work for them immediately. Then I discovered that they offered almost no orientation and the pay was very poor but the workload was tremendous. No wonder they were eager.

Thank you for your input! I do feel a little weird about it. How did you find out tho?

I had the same exact situation (different agency), interviewed and told I can't work on a temporary licence! I hope we get our licence soon:| Best of luck:D

Ask questions.Get details. If they are vague about things or won't give direct answers then look carefully before you leap.If they seem desperate they probably are.

It may be all you can find but agency type work where they send you all over will be tough for a new grad.

Ya, that's the only place I hear back so far. I hope it's a good one. Thank you loriange14. It's tough year for new grads. :(
