has anyone worked as a CARE manager for Senior Bridge?

Published

I got an email from a recruiter for care manager positions with Senior Bridge in my area. I've looked at their website & I think it's something I may be interested in. It's not home health care per se, it is more interviewing and documentation. The point is to prevent hospital re-admissions.

Just wondering if anyone can share personal experience with this kind of thing. Thanks!

I would probably call instead. Make DOUBLE SURE that you say you want to work as an INDEPENDENT NETWORK CARE MANAGER FOR HUMANA AT HOME. There are different divisions that hire care managers. Senior Bridge has offices in certain states and they are contracted with Humana and I think they have a private pay program that is separate. Humana also hires their own care managers that work for Humana with full benefits and they are called associates. They have to carry a full caseload. We as Independent care managers can take on as few or as many up to 35 members with no benefits . We get a 1099 at the end of the year . Call 866-994-6199 during normal business hours and tell them you would like to speak with a Humana at home network specialist recruiter for your state about signing on to work. Hope this helps. Let me know. PM me and let me know [emoji4]

Got it- sent you one back. :-)

So out of curiosity how much time do you actually spend on a visit? I do long term care assessments and they take anywhere from 1-2 hours depending on the information collected-or how detailed someone is in giving the info. Is this something that you can schedule a visit say after working 8-5 or on a weekend?

Humana has fairly strict policies. They like the visits made to suit the member. Most members like to be seen before 5 pm. Humana managers like visits to be made Mon - Fri with only occasional visits being made on the weekends. It depends what I'm working on with my members when I visit . Each visit is different. I might spend 30 minutes or up to 2 hours, but most visits are approx an hour. You have more work to do when you get home such as looking up resources for the member and putting your notes into the Computer which also takes time. Hope this answers your question.

Yes it did thank you.
