Hey Everyone!
I was just wondering if anyone on the waiting list for San Diego City College has gotten a letter of acceptance for Fall 2010. I'm in the 100's on the waiting list, so I'm getting pretty close, but since they're accepting 50% from the waiting list and 50% from the point system, it might take me a while longer to get accepted . The admin at the nursing office told me that acceptance letters for those on the waiting list should be sent out towards the end of March, so I was just wondering if anyone has received a letter of acceptance or alternate? If so, what number were you on the waiting list??
Just being curious!
Calini - I'm fairly certain that I got in through the multicriteria application. I was put on the waitlist approx. 1 1/2 years ago. I received notice in the fall that I had gone from #809 to #330. That's a huge drop! I think Rayni22 said she's been on it for over 3 years and she just got in.
Calinj- Hi, I just looked back at my old e-mails from the nursing admissions, and in Sept, I was #60, then dropped to #48 in Dec. I stayed there for quite some time, then dropped to #38 just before my phone call last week. I hope you get a chance to get in, I know how it feels to wait forever!!!! GOOD LUCK!!!
Trust me, I know how that goes! I basically just kept in touch with the nursing admissions department. I would send her an email every month or so to see where I was on the list. Just keep in touch with her. There is still time for many students to drop or not respond. I sincerely hope that you get a chance to get in! How long have you been waiting?
I know you know how it feels, ugh so frustrating! I am mad at myself for not putting in an application in the fall, I just thought I would be there by now. I got on the waitlist in January of 2008. What about you? I emailed them this morning and she said I am currently number 90. So hopefully a miracle will happen and I will get in. Thank you for the encouraging words and Congratulations on your acceptance. I hope you have a great year even if I can't join you!!! :)
Wow! I got on the list in Jan 2008 too! That's crazy. I must have applied in the very beginning of the month or something. Yeah, I thought about applying in the Fall too for the multi-criteria, however, I hadn't finished Algebra 96 yet (I finished it that semester!) That was the only class I needed for my general ED. Oh well, I guess I'm really lucky!!! I hope you get in.
I'm in the same boat! I got accepted and have been waiting 4 loooooong years. As far as expenses go, I've saved up some money from the full time job I currently have. My last resort is to pull out a student loan, which is a likely possibility since I plan on not working the whole time I'm in school :T

Hi to those of you who heard about City's Nursing Program! What number were you on the waitlist in the Fall? I emailed Robyn on March 16th and she told me we wouldn't hear until April. I haven't heard anything, but will keep my fingers crossed that I still will!
