Anyone waiting on Acceptance/Rejection Letter '2012

Nursing Students Pre-Nursing

Published

I am now playing the waiting game. Applied to only 1 school for Spring of 2012, finished my pre-req's with a 3.7 GPA and passed the NLN in the 94 percentile. Now Im waiting to hear whether or not I got in. Advisor said decision would be made middle of this month with letters going out end of this month. These weeks seem to be dragging. I feel confident I got in with my scores but who knows how everyone else did. So there is always that doubt.

Just looking for some company for those playing the waiting game too. :yeah:

I've applied to one school for Spring 2012. They won't send out letters until the first full week of January, so no mail anxiety for me until then. In the meantime I am keeping my mind occupied with microbiology, and a few other classes. Once finals are done though I will be anxiously awaiting my fate!

I submitted my application last week for Spring. The deadline wasn't until October 15, and they do not start looking until applications until after the deadline. I also only applied to one school. I am so nervous to find out and I do not know when we will find out anything. Hopefully in November we will find out something. I have a 3.7 GPA but we also had to write a personal statement and have two letters of recommendation. Good luck to everybody! :)

Yes the dreaded wait, so I turned in my app in Sept for the Jan 2012 class. I won't know until like the second week of November. Waiting everday for the days to fly by. Somedays I feel like I got in and other days I feel like I don't stand a chance. Either way I would like to know now! I put all my eggs in one basket, really praying I get in at this CC.

What really sucks is when the letter is actually sitting on your kitchen counter and you are dreading opening it because it's not thick enough in your opinion.

I was accepted to a spring 2012 program but I found out 4-5 months ago, and the envelope was thick :p

Finally submitted my second school application as a back up in case my other B.S.N. program doesn't work out. Pre-nursing is better than no nursing school :)

Good luck! I applied at the end of August and finally received a letter yesterday. Longest 6 weeks of my life and I couldn't even open the letter when I received it. I promised my husband, who is currently deployed overseas, that I would wait to open it "with him" via email. I was lucky that my current class load helped distract me immensely.

Yes! I looked at mine for two hours, drove around with it, and even still needed my husband to tell me to open it. It was almost like I didn't want to.

This is going to drive me nuts, LOL.

Envelope thick or skinny?

This process remind me of senior year of high school.

im first semester NS now.... i waited 3 years for my letter. It was awful. but when i finally got it (wasnt even expecting it. I had given up completely ever getting in and had forgotten that it was letter time) it was thin. One sheet of paper that said I was FINALLY IN> you wouldnt believe the feeling. It took me an hour to realize what it was for. I kept telling my husband " what the heck is this? I didnt apply to anything this semester" i was at the time int he process for applying to LPN school ince I gave up on RN. I couldnt figure out whhy in the world the LPN program accepted me before I was even done applying. Then it just hit me that i finally got into the RN program lol. I was beyond words excited.
