So do they give u a stipend every month and pay your tuition? Or do they just cover tuition?
They pay for a full ride and stipend. Tuition, books, computer, etc. and they pay you a stipend. The stipend varies depending on when you were in the military, post-9/11, etc.

Quick question. Would you still qualify for voc rehab if you are employed full time. And still receive a stipend?
Not if you're employed full time.
Thank you much for replying back so quickly.

Wait a second GoalSeeker, I was unemployable /did not have sustainable employment pre Voc rehab. Now I have been in Voc Rehab for 2.5 years and have been employed full time for almost a year.

My orientation was actually on Wednesday and I found out that I can actually hold a full time job. My counselor was excellent and explained to me all my entitlements under chapter 31. Thank you for correcting this misconception, especially for those of us who don't know what to expect from this program.

That's good information. ..I applied about two months ago and I still haven't gotten an appointment yet. Hopefully soon.
Hi Juswannabenurse,
2 months sounds like a very long time. I know every state is different, but I would call the VA office in your state and verify they received all the necessary documents. The day of orientation a guy walked in and told them he didnt receive his paperwork and they were able to help him out.
Thanks so much I'll call in the morning!

Happy to see fellow veterans receiving this benefit. I was just approved this week. It is such a relief to know your degree will be taken care of. I was approved to my masters. I graduate with my ASN in May and will continue working towards my BSN in the fall. Does anyone here happen to know the form number for requesting electronics? I turned my paperwork into my school and they are giving me a list of things that I need but aren't sold at my school. Like computer, shoes, and ipad. Do I really just give my VA counselor the list or is there a specific form? I can ask on Tuesday but I was hoping someone on here might know. Thanks in advance :)

There is no form as far as I know. Congratulations on being approved, its a great program. They approved me to get my masters as well. Can't beat that.
