Let's have some fun learning. Each person should throw out 5 random facts or "things to remember" before taking your finals, HESI, NCLEX, etc.
Updated:
OK I know this sounds stupid but I have a friend that gets really freaked out before big tests like finals, HESI, NCLEX, and usually we get together and a few days before I start throwing out random facts at her. On 2 different tests she said the only way she got several questions was from the random facts that I threw at her that she never would have thought of!

first , thanks for you all keeping the thread , i love it.
here is some from me :
*nalidixic acid can intensify the effect of oral anticoagulants , when an anticoagulant is combined with nalidixic aid a decrease in the anticoagulant dosage maybe needed .
* cyclosporine should mix with chocolate milk or orange juice in a glass container , avoid grapefruit juice . S/E : nephrotoxicity , infection , hypertention , tremors , hirsutism .
* amphotericin B , erythromycin , ketoconazole can elevate the cyclosporine levels , so the cyclosporine dose should be reduced to prevent toxicity .
*sulfonamide can intensify the effects of warfarin sodium , phenytoin , oral hypoglycemics , so when combined with sulfonamide these medication dose may require a reduction in dosage .
thanks , keep going , happy study !

The cause of primary osteoporosis is unknown, an important contributing factor may be faulty protein metabolism resulting from estrogen deficiency and a seditary lifestyle. These conditions typically occur in elderly post-meopausal women.
In osteoporosis bones lose calcium and phosphate salts becoming more porous, britttle & abnormally vunerable to fracture.
It is recommended that premenopausal women get 1000 to 1200 mg of calcium daily.
Osteoclasts carry out bone resorption by removing unwanted bone while new bone is forming in other areas.
