Let's have some fun learning. Each person should throw out 5 random facts or "things to remember" before taking your finals, HESI, NCLEX, etc.
Updated:
OK I know this sounds stupid but I have a friend that gets really freaked out before big tests like finals, HESI, NCLEX, and usually we get together and a few days before I start throwing out random facts at her. On 2 different tests she said the only way she got several questions was from the random facts that I threw at her that she never would have thought of!
SOOOOO..... I thought that if yall wanted to do this we could get a thread going and try to throw out 5 random facts or "things to remember". NCLEX is coming and the more I try to review content the more I realize that I have forgotten so......here are my 5 random facts for ya:
OH and BTW these came from rationales in Kaplan or Saunders no made up stuff:

4️⃣ The antidote for Mag Sulfate toxicity is ---Calcium Gluconate
5️⃣ Impetigo is a CONTAGEOUS skin disorder and the person needs to wash ALL linens and dishes seperate from the family. They also need to wash their hands frequently and avoid contact.
Oh, ohh, one more...
? Vasopressin is also known as antidiuretic hormone
OK your turn....

okay here's the thing.. if it is hospital-based meaning the patients are in the hospital you will first intervene the most unstable client which is letter D.
but if it is in the community, or disaster care, you'll need to categorize them first..
letter A - red tag meaning needs immediate care due to blood loss..so you should first prioritize letter A..
you should never prioritize letter D because the patient is about to die and would need lots of time to intervene so this is clearly time consuming.. and letter D is categorized as black tag..keep in mind that you are in a disaster area, there are lots of patients that needs your help..
i hope i made it clear for you.. another example of disaster area is never prioritze patients with fix dilated pupils or no pulse and negative breathing..

I would say D because with burn patients they are losing fluid so we are worried about shock. with burn patients we have to be concerned with fluid replacement.

hey i know this! at first i was so confuse but i got it all figured out..
yep! letter A
because if you go for letter D, it would involve lots o intervention like resuscitation, meds , fluid replacement.. and the prognosis of the patient is poor..
