Anyone taking NCLEX the week of July 21st?

Published

Finally have my test scheduled July 21st at 1400! Our class had to do VATI before getting our ATT. And I've been doing about 75-100 questions out of the Saunders comprehensive review everyday. Just wondering about any other tips and tricks to go over before the big day. Also wondering if there's anyone else who will be compulsively checking to see if they passed next week.

I get really anxious before tests. I just have to go in there, take a deep breath, and use the strategies I learned in Kaplan. I did their trainers and their practice questions. I made sure I read the rationale as to why it was right or why I was wrong. Ive also learned some things from just doing questions that I have used to answer other practice questions. I reviewed OB, labs, and precautions because I know the latter two I will see. I may or may not see OB but I figured Id might as well take a look. I also looked up quickly any diseases I was unfamiliar with or had to review.

My husband and I are taking it the 21st at 1400 also. I've been doing review of content on my own-making master study guide for myself for content and using a variety of apps for questions (Lippincott, Kaplan, NCLEX Mastery, etc.). I also did over 100 questions/rationales from the LaCharity book that I found on Quizlet. I go back and forth between feeling confident and being terrified. Hopefully I feel confident on Tuesday! I have a job contingent on passing so I'm hoping for the best. I feel pretty good most of the time but then I see everyone who is doing more to prepare than I am and get worried.

I feel the same way too. I feel good and then I get anxious and scared. Ive been doing all of Kaplans practice questions. Ive looked up some disease processes I needed to review as well as labs and precautions in the Kaplan ebook that came with my course but thats about it. I think spending too much time on content will get you nowhere because the NCLEX isnt teaching you about content, it wants to make sure you will be safe and can critically think.
