Has anyone used the CD for sauders comprehension NCLEX review? How do the question match up with the NCLEX? The questions to me seem quite easy, should I be using a different source to study with?
Thanks.

It should not matter whether the questions match up because you are studying the concepts involved. If you know the concepts, you should be able to answer questions no matter how they are worded.
Well, yeah... Im finding the questions in Saunders pretty easy. I ask if Saunder and NCLEX match up because if NCLEX questions are more difficult then I need to switch to a different study book. Im still going through the motions.. awnsering question after question, reading the rationales... but I would like some input on how people felt about Saunders and the NCLEX.

I preferred Saunders to other books I tried and failed NCLEX with. I would say the key is practise answering questions and make sure you read the rationale

I had success with Saunders as well; did a zillion questions (book & CD) and studied the chapters I had the toughest time with. I used my class notes as well.
I don't think there's anything quite like NCLEX questions, though!

hi there, i just want to post my views on nclex. When i took my nclex-rn last feb 23, 2009, i studied hard. I did the kaplan class review, and during my question and answer I refer to saunders for complete details, in this way I have a very good picture of what the topic is all about. When I took the exam, THERE IS NO SINGLE REVIEW BOOK OR REVIEW CENTER THAT IS LITERALLY THE SAME AS NCLEX, you just have to know the details of such topic(using saunders book) and attack the question(using the Kaplan strategies).
I hope this helps, oh and by the way, prayer is as important as the review. Believe in God for without Him we can do nothing, and with Him, everything is possible. God works in so many ways unimaginable!!!! (because the night before the exam, i haven't got any sleep at all, as in literally, due to my overwhelming anxiety, and I hold on to HIM, and He didn't let me down) ALLELUIAH......

Suzanne recommended using ONLY Saunders and people who did her plan usually passed. I think Saunders is really good because of the rationales they use. I've heard their questions are easier than the NCLEX ones though. As another poster said though, as long as you know the information and understand WHY one answer is correct and others are incorrect, you should be able to answer the questions correctly. I am still considering getting a Kaplan review book just to check it out but I've been using Saunders only so far.

The questions from NCLEX is way different from Saunders or other book. I can give you an example question from NCLEX..but i guess i cant post it in here...since they said you can get in trouble with it..Anyways..i do hope there is a different book that really looks more like NCLEX..SATA of Infection Control..meds..and patient teaching are more on the questions ..and then add MEDSurgs....not much on maternity...peds..this is NCLEX-PN im talking about..don't know about NCLEX-RN..Is there a book that offers more SATA..and patient teaching...?? Medications side effect and instructions on how patient should take it..and adverse effect????

I've heard the questions are different too but that if you know the content then you should be able to pass no matter how the questions are worded. It makes me nervous though because some of the test questions in nursing school were strangely worded and, even if you knew the content, you could get them wrong due to the wording. From what I've read there is NO book that is gonna have questions EXACTLY like the NCLEX questions. If anyone knows of one, please enlighten us. lol Until then, I'm just gonna do my Saunders questions, review my school books, pray a lot, and hope for the best.
