community college for EC? I took this course already at a comm college when I was a nursing major. I got accepted into a well known university nursing program with this course as their pre-req but EC says I have to take theirs instead.
Mine was 3 credits, EC's is 2. I'm wondering if anyone was successful in taking this credit course elsewhere? I qualify for financial aid for my local CC and would rather use aid than pay for it out of pocket with EC.

I'm not sure if I understand your thread. I don't understand why EC didn't take yours. Is this the same course that you can CLEP Human Growth & Development? If so, maybe you can pay $85 and test out of it instead of sitting through a semester of it AGAIN.
I hope I'm not giving you wrong information but I think this is what other students have done.

EC will accept the one you already took.

I had two courses at two different schools with a long timeframe in between the courses. EC at one evaluation said that the first course didn't include the entire lifespan because of the way it was titled. They still accepted the class, but said I had to take another to make up the difference. Then they actually looked at the second course and someone figured out that it covered the entire lifespan and I was ok. So you might want to give the school a call and talk to an advisor. There might have just been a misunderstanding when the evaluator went over your records. Talking to someone about it can't hurt.
Yes talk to someone because I don't understand why you are getting the run around.

I had taken Lifespan at a local CC prior to going to EC, and they accepted my credits. I agree with everyone above- they should accept yours.

EC is pretty liberal in what classes it accepts, but the classes do have to meet their criteria. I did take a developmental psych class at a brick and mortar school but as a distance learnign course, and it was accepted just fine. I don't know why they will not take yours. Did you get an official evaluation from EC?
