can't say i have; however, when i worked in hh my (very psycho) rn executive director was in the habit of referring to the rns as "the nurses" and the lpns as "the lpns", as though we weren't real nurses. 'twas most irritating.humph. where, indeed, do these people come from?
yup it used to annoy me every time we get a memo from the don stating "inservice for: nurses, lpns, cnas". i was an lpn at the time. i just laughed it off as she misspelled so many words and she made many grammatical errors.
i still get upset with my brother when he says "you're a nurse now". i always tell him i was a nurse already when i got my lpn.

Not trying to start an LPN vs. RN argument here, but just want to inquire if any LPNs have run into nurse managers who make it clear they don't like to have LPNs on staff? The home health agency I work for has a DON who makes it clear during meetings and in conversation that she has no liking for LPNs or their role on the healthcare team. Aaahh....where do these managers come from?
