If so, what department, what was your starting pay, how was/is the orientation period, and how do you like the job in itself? Thanks! I look foward to working there when I graduate in 2010:)

Any idea how long is OR contract for new grads?

Navreet143, I know that the Florida Hospital new grad Operating Room Nurse Internship program is 5 months. I don't believe they have any GN internships currently available. But, I know the job openings open and close quickly, so keep checking the website.

Hello All,

I am an new grad RN with an associates degree. I have a prior BS in Exercise Physiology. If anyone has any ideas or tips on how to get hired at Florida Hospital or Orlando Health please send them to me!!! I take my NCLEX in 2 weeks, I have great references, and I'm taking a BLS renewal course soon. I have had someone look over my resume and coverletter. Do you think visiting each hospital and speaking to HR face to face will help? At this point I'm desperate...Help anyone please:)

Did anyone get in OR internship at FH

Did anyone apply to the graduate nurse postion for the NICU at Florida Hospital and hear anything back. I applied like three weeks ago and my application status changed from prescreening to screening to blank, and I haven't heard anything. Just curious...

Molly r u trying to be a nurse or an MD. I'm not clear. If RN then I think working is a benefit over a high GPA. Most higher learning doesn't look at your nursing course in computing your GPA. As a medic to RN. I and my fellow LPN classmates worked full-time and did school in classroom and we excelled. Ciao

I start orientation at Orlando Health Oct 11 as an ADN RN in the Dr Phillips ED. It took months of work to get here

Specializes in Med-Swing/Rehab.

I am getting 22 an hour. I graduated in June and got licensed in July. This is my first nursing job. I oriented for about four weeks (3 days/week). I had a big head start because I did my 120 hour practicum where I am now working.
