Hi, I am new to this forum and I am wondering if anyone has graduated from mcc in lowell the 2 year rn program. Also if anyone is in the middle of the program or applying for it. I am applying for 2010 evening program. I completed my prereqs already. Didn't know if anyone had any thoughts bout it. Also what is a good bsn program to follow through with. Please reply with any thoughts or comments. Thanks. Erin
Thanks ! Yes, they cross-trained me over winter break. Working on the floor has been great experience. Hows your job?! Its hard to say which semester was harder. First semester was hard for me because it was hard to get use to all the studying and work & LAB was brutal. But second semester was nursing plus Pharm so it was insane. A lot of work & studying. But you will get through it!!! let me know if you have any questions!!! ENJOY your SUMMMERR!
Im glad you have the opportunity now to work on the floor.
My job is good, im a PCA at Mass General. I work in preop/ PACU. I love it there, great nurses to work with.
So I know what skills are learned in first semester, but what skills did you guys learn in second semester?
Are there alot of presentations to be done? Good luck with third semester, your almost done!

The book list is posted! It's on the MCC Lowell bookstore website (efollett.com) But I dont understand it, what is a bundle option? And then it says you can choose one of two books, one is a medical dictionary and one is a drug guide, I think. Maybe I will wait until they send us a letter... I feel stupid already.
I guess I'm really anxious, I like to be super prepared and know what I am doing, and when I'm in school I don't, so I prepare the best I can. Oh well. At least I have time on my side right now.
Hi, i saw the booklist too.. im excited because it seems so real now, nursing is getting closer!!! ok, im nutty, i have no life and i am waiting till school starts..i want to read already and understand things and learn..yes im a dork..
KristaC, letters should be going out soon, have you tried to call Camille and ask her if they have been mailed yet? it couldnt hurt to try... i hope you get in, keep us posted...
Enjoy your summer.. Erin
Erindel- yeah I have called the school I have not spoken with Camille directly about the letters, but I did speak with someone and all they could tell me is by the end of June. I know they will be here soon I am just anxious to know if I am in or not.
LakerATP- I had my application complete in April of 2010, but when I got my acceptance letter it said accepted for spring 2010 so I'm hoping that means spring 2012. Hopefully with the TEAS test being a requirement we will be getting accepted sooner. Keep us posted when u get your letter.
