Thanks ! Yes, they cross-trained me over winter break. Working on the floor has been great experience. Hows your job?! Its hard to say which semester was harder. First semester was hard for me because it was hard to get use to all the studying and work & LAB was brutal. But second semester was nursing plus Pharm so it was insane. A lot of work & studying. Hello all , figured I would write something since I haven't in a while.... I survived my first week of nursing school!... I wasn't too sure I was going too. I am so thankful & happy to have started but it's NOT easy!! Not that I expected it to be. The first week they lay it on you hard & fast. How is school going for everyone else? Hey guys, haven't wrote here in a while.... I registed for nursing classes last friday!.. I have school monday through friday in th Fall.. M, W, F is Fund. of Nursing class , Tue Lab , and thur clinical!.. We ordered our uniforms & lab coats.. How are things going w. you guys? Any new word on nursing program acceptance?

Sounds like your application is complete as of Dec? That's good if so, to get on the waitlist & then take your non-nursing class(which Mirco is one of them) while waiting it out. I would call MCC and ask to speak to the NURSING advsior. sometimes the regular advsiors dont know about the Nursing program because there is a seperate advsior for nursing. You dont want to take any classes you dont need(unless you want too ) and you want to make sure you know all the ones you do need which are listed online like ErinDel said but I would call and ask the Nursing advsior about Micro def. ! goodluck!!-- what are you taking this spring?

I hear you, I hope a job comes through for you! Have you tried sending your resume directly to a nurse manager or the floor your applying too? Or calling and talking to someone personally? hmm just trying to think about things that might help you chances, giving the job market doing anything above and beyound couldnt hurt?.. Goodluck!

Thanks-Yes, it will be put to good use :) Im sure, I applied to hospitals for about a year before I got an interview & I used an employee's name as a reference so I am pretty sure that is why I got a call. Work is going good, thanks.. SUPER BUSY! Learning a lot though. Yes, I am getting comfortable w. everything, its def a lot to learn.. but I am getting the hang of it.. next week will be my last week training. Yes, it's just adults.. Lahey does not have peds. Don't give up.. keep applying.. Lahey is always posting jobs, escep for nursing assis. .. Yes, I watch discovery health- I love trama-true life in the ER the best.

Hi Erin, I got it! You were right it is the one spiral bound edges & maroon (Saunders Student Nurse Planner:Version 6) Thanks so much. Both of your references are awesome, the fund. of nurs. made incred. easy & that planner! They both have some of the same info, but its good to have it in a smaller version to carry around. Also has the monthly/weekly & a daily planner, to get organized. A ton of great references that you are def. going to need in clinical. Thats awesome about your former co-worker. Hopefully I will meet some people at the orientation!.. How are things with you?

Erindel- Thanks about the planner, I am def. going to try to find it! I actually met a girl at Orintation at Lahey who was on the waitlist at MCC. We both got our letters the same day for FALL. BUT... She was on stand by (i guess 3 people are on stand by per semster just incase someone doesnt accept , or doesnt end up doing it/droppping out etc) so she found out she is starting in JAN Now. im Jealous lol. but still so excited for fall & focusing on working.. James--My application was complete around march09 also. I got a letter last week for my acceptance for Fall2010. Have you recieved a letter? Days or nights & weekends? Goodluck.
