Looking for any chicago hospital or in the North suburbs hiring. Any connection will be greatly appreciated. I have about 5 years of nursing experience.

What sort of position are you looking for?

With five years of RN experience, I wouldn't think you'd have too much trouble finding a job. Have you been running into a lot of roadblocks?

I am looking for Medsurg or Psychiatry. I have some experience in both. I also thought I wouldn't have a hard time but have completed numerous applications but no response for over 2 months. Nowadays just knowing someone working in the facility helps I think due to the competition. PM if anyone has any info please. Thanks!

Oh and I also have a BSN :-)

I have been looking for a job in chicago for 2 years. i have put in several applications and am exhausted! i have been an ER nurse for 5 years, plus 2 years in advanced progressive care unit. Can anyone help me out.

It took me five months---may to October of this year to find a job. I submitted over 300 applications in Chicagoland. It's really really rough. Don't be picky and keep plugging on.

Thanks. Got the pm.

I just started looking in the Chicago area. Noticed some hospitals stating "BSN required (OK, got that.) Certification in area of specialty required by 1/2014 or within 2 yr hire." That's a new one to me. When did this start?

Is that an Advocate Hospital?

If so, they do pony up some bucks for that
