Anyone do Kaplan and pass?

Nursing Students NCLEX

Hi guys! Did anyone on here do Kaplan and their Qtrainers?!? An pass!? Can you share your scores so I can compare. I take mg test this week and I'm so nervous! I already have failed many times ... I wanna pass this time and finally be an RN. I did all Kaplan questions... Scores are from 58-62% on QT's...

I did kaplan review and Q-trainers and passed my first time with nclex. My scores ranged from 48%-65%. I feel as though the questions helped to prepare me for the nclex as being they were similar in format to nclex.

I did Kaplan and just passed NCLEX last week with 76 questions. I didn't do every question trainer but scores on what I did were:

QT 1 - 57%

QT 2 - 72%

QT 4 - 58%

QT 6 - 66%

QT 7 - 67%

My QBank scores ranged from 56% to 76% with an average of 67%.

I think Kaplan questions, for the most part, were comparable to the questions on NCLEX. Some Kaplan questions were definitely more challenging, and some were easier. I think the key with Kaplan is to do and review as many questions as possible. That's what I did, along with all the questions in the LaCharity Prioritization book. I did very little content review other than pharm and areas I needed reinforcement based on my QBank results.

Good luck!

First off, congrats!!!! You have made me feel so much better. I was having freakin mental breakdowns from trying to read every procedure/labs/disease process/IV fluids/ and what not. I am going to continue to practice the exam and trust Kaplan. I overwhelmed myself trying to read content and doing the questions that I got tired and felt like I did not know it all. From now on, questions only! Keep me in your prayers

Hey FloridaRN84,

I just took my NCLEX today with 75 questions and got the good pop-up from Pearson. I got a lot of SOTA and peds questions. I was freaking out the last couple days because I felt like I was not ready for the exam. There was so much on the line because I am already working as an interim RN and pretty much could not fail. I prepared for about 3 weeks after graduating in late January after taking a couple weeks off. I took the Kaplan course, hardly did any content at all, and only did questions. Here are my Kaplan scores:

QT1-49

QT2-53

QT3-52

QT4-45

QT5-45

QT6-50

QT7-55

QBank- completed 100% scoring 55%

(Did not take readiness test)

I came to allnurses.com to see how people were scoring on Kaplan and was very discouraged by everyone's high scores. This is when I started freaking out and panicking. However, there were a few people with similar scores to mine who passed and that reassured me that I would be okay. Just make sure you do every single question from all the QTs/Qbank and understand the rationales and I mean every single one! If you come across a question/topic you need more help with go back to the books for a refresher. On top of that make sure you know your labs and their significance. Get comfortable doing SOTA questions too because when you get SOTA questions you know you're doing well on the NCLEX. The NCLEX questions are lot easier than Kaplan's and was for the most part a pretty easy exam in my opinion. This site was so helpful psychologically/emotionally that I felt like I had to give back by sharing my experience with someone that is in the same shoes as I was. Please let me know if you have any other questions and good luck!

Thank you so much for this!! I took question trainer 7 the other day and scored a 55.47 on it and started crying. I completed 100% of Kaplan's program, including qbank and question trainers! I've moved on to Saunders. I needed this. My exam is Thursday March 14th. :)

I was replying to you btw. New to this lol. :)
