  1. I did kaplan review and Q-trainers and passed my first time with nclex. My scores ranged from 48%-65%. I feel as though the questions helped to prepare me for the nclex as being they were similar in format to nclex.
  2. Good pop up worked for me license just posted today.
  3. Congratz you passed!! The pvt works!!
  4. Congratz!
  5. I tested Feb. 2, 2013 got good pop up and as of today my license has posted on brn!
  6. Pvt also worked with me and I had 220 questions!!
  7. I am a firm believer of the pvt. I graduated December 8, 2012. I took my nclex on Feb. 2, 2013. Tried the pvt an hour after testing and got good pop up and my license was just posted on cali bon this morning. After testing I could of sworn I failed because I had 220 questions before it shut off. So keep hope alive!
  8. You will start to interact with patients after you have completed all of your check-offs in skills lab. Which will be after the 6th week. Clinicals for me first semester was just at AV hospital but as you get to second semester I believe you will rotate between palmdale and av hospital. And their are about 7 guys in my graduating class.
  9. Thank you Vonjo27 :). My over all experience is that it was tough and took a lot of hard work and dedication. With that being said it is doable. You will have to scarifice your time and devote it to studying. I believe what makes the program difficult is not the material it self but the lack of time to learn and retain all of it. First semester was the hardest for me because its like a culture shock. All of this new information and how you will need to apply it. Also test taking is totally different because questions asked will be all critical thinking in format. The easiest part for me came in 3rd semester. Advice I can give is to read but to also pay attention to your powerpoints know them well. Keep yourself organized and stay on top of your assignments. Their will come a point when you will doubt yourself and feel the urge to give up but push through. Dont forget to take time out for yourself and relax. You too will survive nursing school! My first semester we started with about 70 and lost 10 people.
  10. Congratz to all of you guys!! All of your hard work has paid off for you to have been accepted into the nursing program. I'm getting pinned this Sunday from Antelope Valley College Nursing Program!!! It has been a long hard journey but all of you can do it! Goodluck :)
  11. Thats great jennyx33 ob/peds will be a breeze! Im taking med-surg 2 and Im so worried. Its the way my program is set they have us take med-surg 2 for our final semester. But goodluck to both of us!!!
  12. NikkiC213 your story is such an inspiration and thank you so much for sharing it. Congrats on your new job and best of wishes to you :)!!
  13. Well thank you RNmyfuture for the kind words. I guess the nervousness is coming from what the instructors tell us. They say that its so hard and a lot of people dont make it to pinning. So that on top of the workload is making me worried I guess.
  14. I know right! Im trying to read as much as I can but still feel like it wont be enough to prepare me.. Med-surg 1 was a nightmare so I can only imagine Med-surg 2!!!
  15. Well I can truly understand your feeling!!
