Hey FloridaRN84, I just took my NCLEX today with 75 questions and got the good pop-up from Pearson. I got a lot of SOTA and peds questions. I was freaking out the last couple days because I felt like I was not ready for the exam. There was so much on the line because I am already working as an interim RN and pretty much could not fail. I prepared for about 3 weeks after graduating in late January after taking a couple weeks off. I took the Kaplan course, hardly did any content at all, and only did questions. Here are my Kaplan scores: QT1-49 QT2-53 QT3-52 QT4-45 QT5-45 QT6-50 QT7-55 QBank- completed 100% scoring 55% (Did not take readiness test) I came to allnurses.com to see how people were scoring on Kaplan and was very discouraged by everyone's high scores. This is when I started freaking out and panicking. However, there were a few people with similar scores to mine who passed and that reassured me that I would be okay. Just make sure you do every single question from all the QTs/Qbank and understand the rationales and I mean every single one! If you come across a question/topic you need more help with go back to the books for a refresher. On top of that make sure you know your labs and their significance. Get comfortable doing SOTA questions too because when you get SOTA questions you know you're doing well on the NCLEX. The NCLEX questions are lot easier than Kaplan's and was for the most part a pretty easy exam in my opinion. This site was so helpful psychologically/emotionally that I felt like I had to give back by sharing my experience with someone that is in the same shoes as I was. Please let me know if you have any other questions and good luck!
