Anyone hear from UCF, FAU or UF ABSN 2009

I just registered but have been using this site for the past year while I finish my prereqs for an accelerated BSN. I have found it to be very useful. Just wanted to see if anyone heard from UCF, FAU or UF for the summer 2009 ABSN. I emailed Ms. Brooks at FAU and she told me mid February letters would start going out. Good Luck. Last year, UCF let us know via letter around spring break. This year we're on spring break starting March 6th. Good luck. I've really enjoyed the program.

Did you apply to all three schools? I only applied to UF, and am still awaiting a reply. I have thought about e-mailing the coordinator to see when decisions will be made or when letters will be going out, but I don't want to be a bother. The truth is, I already know that in previous years, applicants received their acceptance letters in the first week of March. So, in reality, I need to just be patient and wait a few more weeks, but that doesn't stop me from being curious!

Thanks for the info. How has the program been? I know it is intense but doable. At the information session they almost seemed to try to weed people out form apllying by saying how hard it would be. Could I ask you want your weekly schedule has been like?

I applied to all three and also UM. I was accepted to UM but just found out the chemistry I am taking CHM 1025 doesnt count, so not sure what to do about that. They wanted 1045. I got an email from Kenneth Foote at UF saying that the letters would be sometime end of Feb beginning of March. I am trying to be patient but thought I would ping the water and see if anyone heard already. Good luck. I wish I would have done better on the GRE for UF but too late now.

I've really enjoyed UCF's program. Its had ups and downs like everything, but for the most part, I think its well organized. You're correct with regards to intense but doable. Actually, the first two semesters were not fun, but now, I'm in my third and it's a lot better. Regarding weekly schedule: search with the following terms "ucf bsn accelerated" and the first hit you get is a thread about weekly schedule and clinicals.

Yes, I got the letter from FAU about a week and a half ago. I am still waiting for UF accelerated bsn, and from what I read it went out on March 3 last year and someone got it on March 9 in 2006. Anyone got their UF letter yet for accelerated BSN?

I got declined for FAU but got accepted for UM. No letter from UF as of today....anyone else?

No letter from UF yet. I was really thinking that today was going to be the day, but, once again, I was disappointed when I opened the mailbox. Hopefully tomorrow!

Someone said on the other thread that Kenneth Foote told them that letters would be going out 'very soon'. Very vague... Lot's of people are bringing up the budget cuts, possibly no BSN program next year, getting rid of MSNs, and doing the DNP instead. Hmmmm. Wonder what that means to the program now?
